James cares for his country. But he worries about Isobel and that stirred something inside of him which could stir something bigger in the country.

(It is set in the olden days incase that isn't clear in my writing haha, not quite sure what year, but somewhere waaaaay far back like in the 1400s :D)

21. 21.

I frown. "No... no, James-"

He keeps calmly smiling. "Hey, hey, don't judge. It's got to happen, we're having a baby and people are going to know about us. It will be better if we're married, they won't judge it as much. They'll judge it but not as much."

I shrug. Hey, why the hell not? "Okay, then yes." I grin. "Yes, yes, yes."

He laughs and pulls me over to his lap, kissing me. When he pulls away, he just looks at me with some sort of... pride. I don't know what he has to be proud of.

"What is that look?" I ask, giggling.

"This look?" he responds, crossing his eyes.

We both laugh. I rest my head on his forehead, giggling. "No, the look before that."

"Oh that one." he winks. "That was me being proud of you."

I frown. "What have I done?"

"You, my beautiful Isobel, have been thrown into this. You have had a prince falling for you, then you've fallen for me too, now we are having a baby and getting married. And I'm not going to lie and say this will be easy because it won't but I am proud of you because I know you'll be okay."

I smile. "You too."

"Oh but I thought my life was so perfect." he sticks his tongue out.

"Shut up." We both laugh and kiss each other again but we know we have to go back and tell people.
