16. Chapter Fourteen

Harry's POV

I pace the house, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, biting my lip, constantly worrying. I check the window every few minutes willing Katie to come home safely, willing Edward to leave us alone, but that could never happen. Edward will stay like a shadow over me wherever I go, ruining every good thing that happens to me. We could run away again, Katie and I, but Edward would surely track us down. I check the clock. 10, 20, 30 minutes pass by and Katie is nowhere. I begin to seriously worry, where are they? It was a quick ride on a motorbike, where could they have got to? 40 minutes. I decide to go and look for them.

I climb into my black range rover, eyes red from all the crying I had been doing. I had a reason for crying; I knew what Edward was like. He would do anything to get in Katie's pants and I was determined to find them before that happened. I hadn't properly declared my love for her yet, but with everything that had happened I didn't think that it would be appropriate enough to.

What if they had got into some accident and that's the reason they were out for so long? Or maybe Edward had kidnapped her, forcing her to love him like he did with Charlotte. Oh Charlotte, beautiful, angelic, mystifying Charlotte. How I longed to hold her close right now in my arms, cherish every single second with her. I love her more than words can say, but now I love Katie. No body can compare to Katie, she's literally a goddess. I'm so lucky to be able to consider her as mine.

My teeth gritted at the thought of something happening between the pair. Edward was always a charmer when it came to the ladies and his many tattoos attracted everyone. I had several tattoos, but his– They literally covered every inch of him, except from his face. He was the typical bad boy you'd see in a romance film. The guy everyone always fell for. The guy everyone loved and dreamed about.

I shook my head hastily, clutching the steering wheel tightly. My eyes scanned every inch of every street and I slowly began to give up hope. I pulled over next to an abandoned park after spitting a motorbike which was similar to Edward's. In fact, it was his! I absentmindedly ‘happy danced’ in my car. I swung the door open, literally leaping out and slamming it behind me.

What I saw next, brought tears to my eyes. Katie was sat on his lap, staring intently too his eyes as Edward was beaming his infamous smile. The smile which had made many heart melt before. Slowly, they began to lean in and I cautiously ran over to them, shrieking their names desperately.

“Katie! Edward!” I panted, holding up a finger to scold them. Katie flung herself off Edward's lap, embracing me. “I was so worried!”

“You shouldn't have been,” Katie smiled, “We were only talking.” I scoffed.

“Yeah, just that.” I muttered to myself, sarcastically.

“Huh?” Katie looked at me weirdly, as if I had just spoken in another language.

“Oh nothing.” I smiled sweetly, my hands balling up into fists in my pockets. I shouldn't have left them alone together. This day was a huge mistake.
