Outcast (Marcel)

Marcel is the school nerd. Katie is the school 'it girl'. What happens when these two worlds collide.. And one of them has a secret nobody can know about...?

1. Chapter One.

Marcel's POV

My glasses slip to the brim of my nose and I hastily push them up, my vision becoming clearer. My shoulders slouched and a frown plastered across my face. There they were. Chatting away amongst themselves, probably planning which way to torture me next. They don't get it, do they? They think I'm harmless, that I couldn't do anything back to them.

 That's where they're wrong.

I wish I could stand up to them. But that would give my whole act away. You see, I'm not as weak as you think. I wish I was. I wish my strength would go away. I don't want to hurt anyone. I try my best not to. Ever since that day...  No, you mustn't think back to when– Oh shut up Har-Marcel.

“Oh look who arrived.” Spat Josh, a sneer of harsh words being thrown at me. I rolled my eyes. If only they knew.

“D–Don't hurt m–me.” I begged, inching away from his mean expression. He towered over me, knocking my books out of my hand and cheering along with his friends as if it was the best thing he had ever accomplished.

“One day,” I muttered, kneeling on the floor to collect my books. “They'll regret it.”

“You bastards!” My best friend's voice filled my ears and a smile spread across my lips. “Don't you have anything better to do other than be complete pricks?”

“I–It's o–okay, Lauren.” I stuttered, trying to drag her away from the scene.

“No it's not, Marcel!” She protested with a yell. “They shouldn't be treating you this way, you've done nothing to them.”

“I–I'm a nerd and they're t–the j–jocks.” I simply stated as she rolled her eyes stubbornly.

“No, Marcel.” She shook her head, her curls framing it perfectly. “You're so much more than that! They're just assholes that think they're so much better than you. In reality, they're not.”

“Don't worry about m–me. They're j–just showing off.” I told her, observing as she inhaled deeply.

“Watch out nerd.” A voice snapped at me, causing me to flinch. I turned around quickly, coming face to face with Katie. Her face was smeared with makeup, underneath it her real beauty. I never had understood why girls wore makeup. They're perfect without it.

“S-Sorry.” I apologised, twiddling with my glasses nervously.

“I should hope so, too.” She replied harshly, trotting off with her friends, well- fake friends, trailing behind her. I sighed, coming face to face with the awful fact that I would never stand a chance with a girl like her. Not dressed like this, anyway. I wish I could change, I really do. But I can't, and no one must know why.
