21. Chapter 17

Justin Drew's POV

I had brought Adrienne back to my place so we could chill for a while and just watch a couple movies. Whatever she wanted to do.

"Babe, do you wanna make cookies with me?" She asked as she pulled supplies from the cupboard.

"Sure, what kind are we making?" I had made it over to the island and took a seat on it.

"How does chocolate chip oatmeal cookies sound?"

I could already feel my stomach grumbling.

"That sounds perfect."

We got to work even though I had no clue what was going on. She was mixing a lot of things together which I didn't understand but once it all together it looked really good.

"This looks great." Without thinking I dipped my finger into the batter and tasted it. Next thing you know, there was flour in my hair and all over my face.

"Uh Justin, you got a little something right there." Ad reached up to wipe more flour in my face.

"You are so dead." I took off after her. She could run pretty fast but I was faster. All I could hear was her laughter through the house.

When I finally reached her, I had trapped her in a hallway.

"No where to run babe."

As I walked closer to her, Adrienne bolted and ran through my legs.

"You're never gonna caught me!" She laughed.

I stood in shock for a moment before deciding to go to the bathroom and wash my face before thinking of my next move.

Adrienne's POV

The house was too quiet. After I somehow got away from Justin, I found a hiding place and stayed there for a while.

The eerie quietness was freaking me out so I went back to the kitchen and finished off with the cookies and put them into the oven.

After I was done, I went around the house look for Justin.

"Justin come out please! I give up! You can throw flour in my face as much as you want. Just come out."

I walked back to the living room to see that something was different. The TV was off and the lights were off too.

"Okay, I'm officially scared." Before I could do anything about it I felt someone throw me over their shoulder and started running somewhere.

I was in pure shock. I wanted to scream but nothing came out. I could feel the cold of the Californian arm hit my bare arms as the person ran with me on their shoulder outside.

"Put me down!" I finally screeched.

"No can do babe." Justin laughed before throwing me into the pool with me still on his shoulder.

It felt like I was under water for while. When I finally resurfaced, I saw Justin there with a smile on his face. He pushed his wet hair back staring down on me.

"I guess I deserved that." I tried act mad, but who could be mad at Justin when he was smiling like that.

"Do you know what times it?"

I shook my head but somehow I knew that Justin knew.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6," Justin pulled me closer to himself. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1."

I felt his velvet soft lips connect with mine making butterflies explode in my stomach.

"Happy New Years baby."

The winter break was finally over and Justin and I went back on tour. He was doing his thing while I was preparing for the believe tour. I had to finish a couple of songs so I could perform them on tour.

Today I was really excited. Justin told me he had gotten us a recording session so we could record our song together. He told me that he had a couple things to do before he would get to the studio. But it was fine by me.

I thought that it would be romantic if I made us a little picnic and lay out a blanket for us to sit on. I got everything ready and made it to the studio expecting Justin to already be there.

He wasn't.

"Maybe he's just late." I thought positively to myself. Justin wouldn't just not show up. He would remember right?

I decided that Justin was just late and the only thing I could do was wait. After an hour of waiting I got fed up and called him. It went straight to voice mail.

"Hey babe, it's me," I took a deep breath, "I'm still waiting for you at the studio. Call me back alright. Bye."

I hung up feeling slightly discouraged. How could Justin forget about this? He was the one who set this all up. This was his idea.

Hours passed and it was around 7:30. Justin was supposed to meet me at 2.

I packed all my things, a couple of tears falling down my cheeks. Why was I crying? Justin didn't deserve my tears. I guess it hurts when you're stood up.

I was about to leave when someone poked there head into the room. It was Nathan Sykes from The Wanted. Since Scooter is my manger as well as there's, I had gotten to know some of the boys quite well but Nathan and I had gotten closer out of the bunch.

"Adrienne? What're you doing here so late?" He asked. I quickly wiped away the remaining tears on my cheeks before speaking.

"Well I was supposed to record a song with Justin but he never showed up." I sniffed a little

"I could help if you wanted."

Nathan did know how to work those confusing recording table things. And I honestly didn't care. Justin obviously didn't want to help me so why not?

Nathan and I got to work. We got a great beat and I sang some of the vocals.

"How bout these parts?" Nathan asked as he pointed to the parts that had Justin's name on them.

"Can you sing them?" I pleaded. All I wanted was this to be over with and Nathan's voice was perfect for this.

"Uh, are you sure? This sounds like a duet between you and Justin. Maybe I should just help you get the rest done." His voice sounded unsure when he spoke.

"No, I want you to sing it. Please."I stared into Nathan's eyes for a second pleading him.

Nathan sang Justin's parts and the song sounded great. I loved it.

I got Nathan to burn me a cd and after I said goodbye to him.

"Thanks for all the help." I left in a taxi and got back to the hotel to my room.

I was mad when I first last laid eyes on Justin. Then I noticed what was going on in our room.

The smell of weed, the faint after taste of heavy alcohol in the air. Boys and girls everywhere dancing, making out in Justin and I's bedroom. Justin sat at a round table playing black jack with Lil Twist, Jaden, and Lil Za. Each of them had a bottle of beer and what looked like a joint in their hands.

"Aye JB, yo girl here." Twist smirked. Justin turned to the door to see me a distinct look on his face. Shock? Pity? Guilt?

"Adrienne." Justin's voice came out as a shout over the loud bass. He pushed through the crowd until he finally got to me. He was out of breath and when he breathed out the stench of marijuana hit my face making me automatically scrunch my nose.

"Ad, I'm sorry..." He trailed off.

"So this is what you ditched me for? I didn't know you started hanging with your douchie friends again Justin. What the fucks your problem?"

I barely cursed. I never cursed. And I never spoke to Justin like that.

He looked shocked and so did a lot of other people.

"Hey calm down, I just forgot okay. We can record the song some other time and don't take this out on my friends."

His voice was venomous. He glared down at me with the outmost anger I've seen before.

He was mad at me? He was mad because I was upset about our song. He was mad because I called his friends douchebags.

I took a deep breath and pulled out the cd from my purse.

"You can forget about the song Justin. I've already recorded it with Nathan and I can honestly say it sounds better then it would've sounded with you. Here you go, see what you missed out today." I thrusted the cd against his chest and stormed out of the pent house suite.
