19. Chapter 19: Leaving

The carriage would be here any moment now. It'd take us to the castle. I don't think it's that far. Maybe an hour ride. I double checked to make sure we had everything, which we did. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.

"Are you okay, Zee?" Cameron asked me. I nodded my head.

"I'm just a little stressed that's all." I said, looking out of the window. "Can you bring everything downstairs?" He nodded his head. I grabbed my things and we walked down the stairs. We sat everything down. Cameron's dad walked out of his office. You could see dark circles under his eyes. He hasn't slept ever since Cameron's mom died.

"You should talk to him." I said. I've lost both of my parents, I don't want that to happen to Cameron.

"Why?" He asked, coldly.

"I've lost both of my parents, I don't want that to happen to you. You guys only have each other now. You don't know when your life will end." I said. I hope I got through to him.

"He doesn't like you." Cameron said.

"I know, but he's your father. He could die today; you never know when your life is over. Please talk to him." I said. "Talk to him before it's too late." Cameron nodded his head.

"Okay, I will." He said. He kissed my forehead and walked into the kitchen. I looked out of one of the windows, waiting for my grandparents.

After a few minutes Cameron came back out. "How'd it go?" I asked. He shrugged his shoulders.

"It went alright I guess. We both agreed to try to get along better." Cameron said. I nodded my head.

Soon enough my grandparents got here. Cameron and I walked outside.

"We have somebody who will load your things into the carriage." Benjamin said. I nodded my head. There were two carriages, one for my grandparents and the other for Cameron and I. "How have you been, Zee?" My grandpa asked.

"I'm good." I said. He nodded his head. We walked over to our carriage.

"Well, the castle awaits!" My grandpa said. I smiled. He seemed like a fun guy. Cameron and I got into the second carriage. Benjamin walked back to the carriage he rode here in. We were soon riding into the woods.

The castle was incredible. It had high ceilings. There were a bunch of rooms. I'm sure it's not hard to get lost in here. Benjamin showed us to our rooms. Mine and Cameron's room was huge. Benjamin finally showed us throughout the entire castle.

"There will be a meeting tomorrow morning. It's important that you come since it'll explain what your duties will be." I nodded my head. Benjamin left.

"This place is wonderful." I said to Cameron. He simply nodded his head. I'm going to have to get used to this. I've never lived in anything this big. I really wanted to visit the library again. It was just like the one from Beauty And The Beast.

"Do you think we'll be okay to rule?" Cameron asked.

"We'll get the hang of it." I assured him. I wasn't sure myself though. I had no doubt that Cameron could do it, but I don't know if I can. I know that I'm the one with the special gift, but I never thought of myself as a leader. Cameron was a natural at it. Well, he was an Alpha.

It'll come naturally, right? "Zee, everything will be fine." Cameron said. I nodded my head. Everything was being thrown at me from left and right. It made me feel incredibly stressed.

"I hope so, Cameron." I said.

"I love you." He said. I smiled.

"I love you, too." I said.
