Allie Jensen was your average cheerleader. She was blond, blue eyed, and despite her stereotype of being dumb, she was actually smart. When a new guy arrives at her school, she develops feelings that she has never felt with other guys. To her, he is a mystery. He eventually reveals his secret to Allie, knowing that she would be in danger. To him, she is the only girl he could trust. Her friends tell her that he is bad news, but Allie doesn't listen to them and continues to fall for the guy even more. Unlike some people, Allie found the good in him.

6. True Form

"Allie, you should stay away from him." It was the start of the new semester and Allie had finally told her friends the truth about Ethan over Winter Break. Allie couldn't believe what she had just been told by Charlotte. "You guys were the ones who told me to date him." Allie said.

"That was before you told us about him being a wolf." Olivia said. The girls were sitting at a table in the cafeteria during lunch. Ethan had been missing school lately and Allie was getting worried about him. "Just because he's a wolf doesn't mean he's a different person." Allie told her friends.

"Speaking of Ethan, where is he?" Charlotte asked. Allie simply shrugged in reply. She hadn't spoken to Ethan since Winter Break had started. All he told her was that he was going out of town for a few weeks, but it had been over a month since then.

After lunch, Allie walked out to her car and got in. As soon as she arrived at her house, she saw Ethan sitting on the steps. She parked her car and got out as he stood up. "I know I haven't been at school, and I have a lot to explain but I need you to do something for me. Just a favor." he said.

"What kind of favor?" she asked.

"I ran into Laila, you know, my best friend." he said. Was Laila the reason why Ethan had been gone for over a month? Allie wished that he could've told her. She was a little disappointed that he had been keeping something like this from her for so long. "Ethan," she paused.

"Babe, please. It'll only be for a few days, and she'll be gone before you know it." he said. She sighed and nodded, agreeing to let Laila stay at her house. "You can come out now." Allie saw a girl step out from behind the trees.

"Allie, this is Laila." he introduced Allie to Laila. "Ethan's told me me about you." Laila smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She held out her hand towards Allie. Both girls shook hands and then pulled away.

Laila was a beautiful girl. She had olive colored skin, jet black hair with brown highlights, and hazel colored eyes. "He hasn't said much about you." Allie said.

"He doesn't like to talk about me to other girls, thinks it'll make them jealous." Laila said. "You're different than most girls he'd go for."

"Most girls?" Allie looked towards Ethan's direction. "Let's go inside, shall we?" Ethan asked nervously. The three of them entered Allie's house and gathered in the living room. "So, how long have you know Ethan?" Allie asked Laila.

"We grew up together, but he didn't really join the pack until the age of sixteen. I remember the first time when he changed without any help from his dad. When he changed into his human form, he didn't realize that he was naked." Laila giggled.

"It was my first time, and I was nervous." Ethan sounded offended, but Allie could tell that he was joking along with her. They were soon immersed in conversation about Laila and Ethan being wolves, and also having memories of when Ethan was still with the pack.

The talk of the pack and wolves left Allie out. Instead of the three of them bonding, Laila and Ethan hardly seem to notice that Allie was there. They hardly noticed that Allie had walked out of the living room and went upstairs to her room.

She knew that having Laila over would be a bad idea, and she couldn't stand a chance against her. She knew Laila had known Ethan since they were kids growing up. They were best friends. To Ethan, Allie was probably another girl in his life that he could just discard and Laila would be the one he'd spend the rest of his life with.

Allie sat down on her bed and sighed, knowing Laila and Ethan were having so much fun. She heard a knock at her door, but didn't respond to the knock. The door opened and Ethan entered the room, closing the door behind him. "What's wrong?" he asked, walking up to Allie.

He sat down on her bed as she turned away from him. "I don't want to talk about it." she said.

"If this is about Laila, let me tell you that nothing is going to happen between she and I." he said. "We may get along great, but we'll always be best friends Allie. I don't love her like I love you."

"You love me?" she asked, looking at him.

He nodded, "Yes, I love you Allie." He reached out and began to caress her cheek. "You're the only girl that I want, and don't compare yourself to other girls I've met. They're nothing like you. In fact, you are more beautiful than them."

She looked down and then suddenly felt his lips against hers. When she felt him pull away, she didn't want him to stop. He smirked, "Maybe later." She gently bit her lip and then kissed him once more. "Let's go have dinner, shall we?" he asked. He stood up, holding his hand out towards her direction. She reached out, taking his hand, and went with him downstairs.

Eventually Allie got around to getting to know Laila better, now that she knew Laila and Ethan were only going to remain friends. Later that evening when Laila had gone to bed, Ethan and Allie went out  to the backyard. "Why haven't you showed me your true form?" Allie asked Ethan.

He shrugged and said, "I'm afraid you'll be scared of me."

"When you told me your secret, I didn't run Ethan. I'm not going to run now." she said. Ethan looked at her for a moment, and then turned into his wolf form. All Allie did for a moment was look at him while he approached her.

She reached out and touched his soft fur, feeling his warmth against her skin. "I love you Ethan, for you and all your forms." she said as she bent down and gave him a hug.
