Allie Jensen was your average cheerleader. She was blond, blue eyed, and despite her stereotype of being dumb, she was actually smart. When a new guy arrives at her school, she develops feelings that she has never felt with other guys. To her, he is a mystery. He eventually reveals his secret to Allie, knowing that she would be in danger. To him, she is the only girl he could trust. Her friends tell her that he is bad news, but Allie doesn't listen to them and continues to fall for the guy even more. Unlike some people, Allie found the good in him.

2. Curious Mind

"Allie, it's been two weeks since you've last spoken to the guy. I bet he's already forgiven you by now." Charlotte said. The girls were sitting down at their usual table in the courtyard. Ethan had made fast friends in the last 24-hours. Even some of the girls from the cheerleading team were surrounding him.

"Talk to him before you lose your chance." Olivia said. Allie knew that her friends were right, but what would she say to Ethan. After all, he made her feel like an idiot in English class. Allie glanced over at the table where he was sitting, laughing with his new friends. She turned to her friends and told them that she was going to wait until tomorrow to talk to him.

"So you'll talk to him every time you see him in English class?" Charlotte asked. Allie shrugged and asked, "Yeah, I mean, why not?"

"Are you sure that's an effective way of getting to know the guy?" Olivia asked. Allie didn't know how to answer Olivia's question. The bell rang, ending lunch, and the three friends stood up from their table. As they were walking back into the school, Allie heard her name being called out.

"Hey Allie." It was Gina, a Junior who was going to be the head cheerleader after Allie and her friends graduated. "Hey Gina. How's it going?" Allie asked. Charlotte and Olivia had already gone inside, leaving Allie alone with Gina. "I've been talking to that new guy and he seems really sweet." Gina said.

Allie couldn't believe that even Gina had the courage to talk to Ethan. "Do you find him attractive?" she asked Gina as they entered the building. "He's attractive, but he's not my type. I'm clearly not his type either, or that's what I hear." she said.

Allie nodded and said, "If you hear anything else, let me know." Gina nodded in response and walked off to class. From the corner of her eye, she saw Ethan looking at the Senior display case. By the time she turned to look at him, he was gone.

She wondered if he had been standing there the whole entire time she was talking to Gina, or he was casually looking at the display case. No one stops to look at the display case. She thought to herself and walked out to her car.

As senior, she was given privileges to go off campus. Her off campuses were only in the afternoon and she enjoyed them a lot. It gave her time off of school before cheer practice started. The homecoming game was a week from that Friday and homecoming was the next day.

On the way to her car, she had dropped her keys. Before she could bend down to pick them up, they were held out before her. She looked at the person who held her keys and saw that it was Ethan. "You don't want to lose these." he smirked.

She gave a small smile, taking the keys from him, and thanked him. "Where did you come from?" she asked him. He looked at her a bit confused. "I don't know. I saw you walking when you dropped your keys. I thought it'd be a nice gesture to give you your keys back." he said.

"I should be heading home soon." she told him, unlocking her door. He reached over and opened the driver's door for her. She looked at him cautiously before getting in her car and letting him close the door. She wondered why he was being so nice to her.

Wait, he's always nice to me. She thought to herself as she buckled herself in and started the car. Before she backed out, Ethan was gone. Odd. She backed out of the parking lot and exited the school.

Ethan just kept getting more and more mysterious by the second. Allie had sworn that no one was around her when she left the building and the second she dropped her keys, Ethan was there to pick them up for her. What was he?
