Allie Jensen was your average cheerleader. She was blond, blue eyed, and despite her stereotype of being dumb, she was actually smart. When a new guy arrives at her school, she develops feelings that she has never felt with other guys. To her, he is a mystery. He eventually reveals his secret to Allie, knowing that she would be in danger. To him, she is the only girl he could trust. Her friends tell her that he is bad news, but Allie doesn't listen to them and continues to fall for the guy even more. Unlike some people, Allie found the good in him.

8. Are you staying?

Finally the news about the animal attacks began to disappear. Deaths became minimal and everyone was safe, everyone was happy. All but Allie. Allie, after spring break, was never the same again. She had gone to school, sat with her friends, living her daily routine every single day, and still, a part of her was missing. Ethan.

She remembered the day he left as if it were yesterday. She could imagine him driving away with tears streaming down her cheeks. Soon, she stopped going to cheer practice. She became distant from everyone. Her friends were getting worried about her. Allie would never listen to them.

She distanced herself from her friends and sat alone every day until it was the last week of school. Graduation was that Saturday and everyone was excited, except for Allie. She had gone to school for finals and when it came to that Saturday, she locked herself up in her room.

"Allie, you have to come out of there." Charlotte called out. Allie was lying in bed, staring up at the ceiling. She didn't want to do anything that day; she didn't want to go to graduation. "Graduation is in a few hours, you have to be there." Olivia said.

"I don't want to go." Allie called back. She turned onto one side, looking at the picture of she and Ethan. Ethan hadn't called her since the day he left. The days when she tried to call him made her suffer the most. Hearing his voice on the other end when it came to voicemail, killed her inside.

She could finally cry no more. Allie sighed, putting the picture down on the bedside table and got out of bed. She went to her closet, pulled out the dress she was wearing that day. She grabbed her cap and gown, then opened the door.

"It's about time." Charlotte said, grabbing her friend's hand and the three of them headed outside to Charlotte's car. Charlotte parked in the parking lot of the place where the ceremony was being held. Allie had already put on her gown and cap as the three of them headed inside.

After the ceremony, everyone went outside to see their parents. Allie greeted her parents with the best smile she could put on and a hug. "Congratulations honey." her mom smiled. But before she left with her parents to go to dinner, she spotted a guy leaning against a tree.

Allie told her parents she'd meet them at the car. As soon as they walked away, she approached the guy. As she neared closer and closer to him, she saw that it was Ethan. He had come to graduation, but she wasn't sure if he had come to say goodbye forever or that he was finally coming home.

"Ethan?" she asked.

Ethan looked towards her direction, walking up to her. He pulled her into a hug as she hugged him back. The tears began to fall down her cheeks. "I can't believe you're back." she said, pulling away as she looked up at him.

He reached up and began to wipe her tears away. "I wanted to see you." he said. She backed away from him, confused. "That's your only reason?" she asked. "You're not staying?"

"No, I get it. You want to keep me safe, but I'm more safe with you. You left me nothing, no messages. You never called." she said.

"I'm sorry." he said.

"I think it was a mistake that you came back." she said, then walked away from him. He called out her name multiple times but she ignored him. She got into her parents' car and they drove away.

After dinner, Allie and her parents arrived at their house. Allie headed upstairs to her room and almost screamed, but only saw that it was Lukas. "How do you know where I live?" she asked him.

Luke smiled and said, "I'm the best tracker in the pack." He sat down in the chair at her desk while she sat on the bed. "You okay?" he asked. She shook her head, looking down. "You can always talk to me."

Allie stayed silent. She wasn't sure whether or not she could trust Luke with her problems about Ethan. She knew that Luke and Ethan were close; they were in the same pack. He got up from the chair and sat down on the bed next to her. "Is this about Ethan?" he asked her.

Tears formed in her eyes and they soon began to roll down her cheeks. Luke reached out and gave her a hug, rubbing her back. "Say no more, I'll talk to him." he said. She looked up at him and pulled away. "I don't want to see him anymore Luke." she said.

"Why? You two looked so happy together." he said.

"It's better this way." she sighed, looking down at her hands.

"Luke, what are you doing here?" Ethan's voice came through as Allie looked up. "I was just reassuring her that everything will be okay." Luke said.

"You think you can just come in and save the day?" Ethan asked. "You know she's off-limits."

"Well, I saw an opportunity." Luke said.

"To steal her from me? I thought we were best friends." Ethan said.

"So you didn't tell her why you came back?" Luke asked. Ethan was stumped. He had no idea that Luke would bring that up. "I told her that I came back for her." Ethan answered. Luke rolled his eyes, slightly shaking his head. "You know that's not the real reason Ethan." he said, then left the room.

Allie just sat in silence listening to their conversation. "Is it true? You didn't come back for me?" she asked.

"Allie, it's complicated." he said.

"Everything about you is complicated Ethan. You promised that you'd come back to stay." she said.

"I didn't want to hurt you." He began to reach out, seeing that the tears were rolling down her face. She smacked his hand away and stood up. "You've hurt me multiple times Ethan. Meeting you was the worst mistake I could ever make. Don't ever come back."

Allie pushed him out the balcony doors, slamming it in his face. She went back to her bed and just cried. After ten minutes, she opened the doors to see that he was gone. He had left without even trying to reassure her. She knew it was over.
