Bella gasped loudly wanting to call me horrendous names again, but send them towards me by thoughts, knowing that I would hear it.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes again, not wanting to upset Edward, knowing that if I did I might need to explain him.
Charlie turned towards Bella then, ‘Isabella your sister is right. Besides you have Jacob now and he makes you very happy. Sma– Edward makes Melody very happy now.’
Bella glared at Charlie but our father wasn’t intimidated by any of that. He’s a cop after all – chief even.
Bella’s death glare focused on me and then to Edward and back to me again. Then she bared her teeth as if growling and huffed harshly, ‘I’m going to Jacob! I’m sure he’d appreciate me more than that fucked-up bastard you call a boyfriend!’ she raged before stomping out of the kitchen and heading out the front door, slamming it back in its lock. I flinched.
I didn’t say anything but somewhere inside me her words stung. Jacob was my friend and he did accept me as I was. he didn’t knew the truth of course but he never got difficult about it he being a wolf and I acting to be human. Edward however….did he appreciate me?
Stop it! don’t go there or think the negative stuff. He loves you.
I shook my head as Charlie sighed.

‘Well, that went…’ my dad started with a grimace. Edward was leaning against the table and I stood next to him.
‘…completely wrong?’ I finished Charlie’s sentence with raised eyebrows.
‘I actually wanted to say better than I expected, but your term is fitting too I think.’ He remarked dryly. I sighed, crossing my arms and looking away from the two men I loved dearly.
‘Despite of how it went – she knows now. That’s one secret down.’ I murmured softly, almost inaudible. Now the remainder is still waiting to explode
‘That’s true. She’ll just need to cool down a bit. She’ll probably come around eventually.’ Charlie mused with a shrug. The situation was quite awkward actually and the silence that followed uncomfortable. After a little while of just standing there and looking around I caught a glance of the clockwork. It was time to go and visit my babies. A ridiculous grin spread over my face as my heart started to pound loudly and very much alive.

‘Daddy we have to go. I don’t want Raven and Blaze to sleep too late. They need the hours they can get.’ I announced, turning my head back towards Charlie and Edward. Edward was grinning too and even Charlie couldn’t stay chagrinned.
‘Well go then honey, I’m sure they’ve missed their parents arms.’ He said still smiling and not bothering to be mean to Edward.
Edward was upright in a flash, completely in vampire mode, startling Charlie who backed away. Edward stopped abruptly, seeming embarrassed. ‘Sorry chief, I didn’t mean to startle you. I think my excitement to see my sons makes my body move faster than my brain allows it too.’ he said sheepishly and I giggled. Charlie grumbled something and scratched his neck, ‘Ah, alright. don’t do it again though – I’d like my heart to beat the way it does.’

Hmm…maybe Charlie would get used to Edward eventually…he still hated him but the beginnings were here.
I quickly went to the kitchen cabinet where we kept notes and letters to grab a notebook. Scarlett might have one in the house, but I thought I could discuss the whole move with Edward and write some things down on it in the car. I grabbed my jacket, threw it on and stopped in front of Edward who was looking at me with an amused expression.
‘What?’ I asked, my mood lightened up even though my day was going wrong at all aspects.
‘You’re so eager. I love seeing you smile like this.’ He said chuckling and touching my cheek with his cold hand. I blinked a few times and he kissed my forehead, taking a step past me after that.
‘Well, let’s go visit our supernatural sons shall we?’ he grinned widely and it was infectious. I reached his hand and we dashed out of the kitchen.

‘Ho ho! Wait a minute kids,’ Charlie called from his spot on the couch. We both stopped immediately and I looked at my dad questioningly. He stood up from the couch and he walked up to us.
‘Here, take this list with you to Scarlett. I wrote a few things on it she might need for smarting up that house she mentioned. She may add what she’ll need further. Oh! And I have a present for my boys!’ he said, taking his arm from behind his back and revealing two round packages wrapped into printed paper. It wasn’t hard to guess what must be under the wrapping paper. I grinned and took them from him.
‘Dad are you sure they’re old enough to play with those?’ I asked a bit insecure. Charlie nodded, ’Yes, when you were three I let you play with a soccer ball too, you were rolling all over it though…’
I scrunched up my eyebrows as Edward chuckled from behind me ‘Now I get why I’m so clumsy…anyway – thanks, I’m sure they’ll love it!’

After that, we left the house and ever the gentleman, Edward opened the door from the Volvo for me so I could get in. within a nanosecond he was next to me and starting the engine.
