The Criminal's Journal

"Hey Kid. You forgot this!"
She yelled waving the notebook vigorously in the air.
She was too late, he had already left the bus.
Shianna shrugged, not really caring about the forgotten journal
But little did she know, that journal would change her life

33. Our Little Secret

Justin's house looked the same as it did when I had left. Blankets thrown sloppily on the couch, dishes left on the coffee table.

"Does everyone understand?" Justin asked all eight of us; Za Chaz, Twist, Fredo, Ryan , Cleo, and myself, they were all in on the plan too. I nodded my head dishonestly. I totally zoned out. Luckily Chaz had printed off papers with step by step instructions. I'm guessing the boys and Cleo are fleeing with us, since they all have papers too.

According to the paper we're leaving next month, this gives me plenty of time to pack. Justin and I sat cuddled up in the corner of the couch as the others were upstairs.

"I can't believe we're actually doing this" Justin smiled shaking his head

"neither can I" I admitted "I feel like a total badass."

A small laugh emitted from his lips, making me smile. He slowly caressed my hair as I was starting to drift to sleep.

I looked in my closet, scanning through the clothes.

I examined the paper with the plan on it again, I sighed when I discovered that where we were going was not on the paper. Since I have no clue to where we're going I have no idea what to pack. I settled on just packing various different clothes so I was prepared, no matter what the climate was.

"Your dinner is ready" mom instructed, she had just came back from visiting her navy friends. I obeyed Justin's rule, hiding the plan, knowing if my dad were to see it, he would put a stop to it instantly. I tucked it into my dresser drawer, before heading downstairs.

The sound of footsteps and paper crinkling awoken me. I slowly sat up, pulling the string on the lamp, so the light would come on. The sound was coming from my mom who was holding a piece of paper, along with a laundry basket. I tried to make out what paper was in her hand. My dresser drawer was open, filled with neatly folded clothes.

I soon put all the pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle, the paper that was in her hand was the plan.

"it's okay, it'll be our little secret" she said smiling closing the door behind her.

I smiled, tucking myself back under the covers.

I sighed in relief knowing I could trust my mom, she won't interfere with our plan, or will she?
