The Criminal's Journal

"Hey Kid. You forgot this!"
She yelled waving the notebook vigorously in the air.
She was too late, he had already left the bus.
Shianna shrugged, not really caring about the forgotten journal
But little did she know, that journal would change her life

32. I'm In.

Two weeks later..

I casually let Justin in just like I have been for the past week. I plopped back down on the bed.

"Hey" he greeted kissing my right temple. He slipped off his black vans and placed them in the closet.

"Hi" I said bluntly reading the magazine.

"What's wrong?" He asked noticing I was slightly annoyed.

"Justin, we can't just keep sneaking around like this." I said putting the magazine down. He climbed into the bed, and layed down next to me.
"I know, You're right" he sighed playing with my hair. "I'm going to get us out of this mess"

"How?" I questioned.

"I don't know yet."

He played with my hair, softly singing to me, as I drifted to sleep.

"I'm leaving" my dad called as he was heading out for work. I nodded even though he couldn't see me. The sound of the door slamming meant my dad was gone. I turned over in the bed, expecting to see Justin, but he wasn't there, he must've went running like he usually does around this time. I unlocked my cell phone, attempted to call Cleo, then discovered my dad must've had my phone disconnected. I sighed throwing tge now useless device back on yhe bed, as the front door opened, and footsteps scurried up the staircase.

"Shianna, I thought of a plan!"  Justin yelled panting ,running in my room with his sweatpants and jacket on"I know how to fix everything"

"What is it?" I asked,  smiling, curious to hear his idea.

"It's a little crazy, but it's worth a shot-"

"Get on with it" I said laughing at how he takes forever to get to the point, I find that extremely adorable.

"We should run away"

There was a pause of silence after he had suggested that, all had turned serious. "What?" I yelled , shocked. "Justin, that's crazy"

"It's the only shot we have at being in love freely." He declared "it's worth a shot" he smiled coming a bit closer "Are you in?" He asked closing his eyes, hopeful.

I sat thinking it over thoroughly before, responding. I made a mental pros and cons list. I came to the conclusion that I should live for once in my life, stop obeying the rules. "I'm in."
