My Bullysitters

12. Finish What You Started.

Katie's P.O.V

I woke up in my bed, my head pounding for some unknown reason, that is, until the events all came flooding back. The last thing I remembered was being hit in the back of the head by someone.

I then turned my head to see a mess full of curls lying next to me. He had a cheeky grin plastered across his face as he seemed to study me.

"I want to wake up like this everyday." He grinned.

"How long have I been asleep?" I asked, ignoring his last comment.

"Since yesterday, when Zayn shut you up from your rampage." He chuckled, now stroking my cheek.

I slammed my eyes shut, frightened by what was going to happen. When his actions didn't change, I opened my eyes, giving him a questioning look.

"What?" He asked, giving me the same look.

"Why aren't you hitting me or telling me how worthless I am or-"

"Because that's not what friends do." He smiled.

"Friends?!" I questioned, feeling as if I had stumbled into a parallel universe.

"As I last recall, this is how I calmed you down when Niall was gone, remember?" He asked, continuing to softly stroke my cheek.

"Is this some kind of sick joke? Are you just messing with my feelings on purpose, or what?" I asked, my eyes beginning to water.

"What? No! Look, I know I screwed up in the past, but I want things to be the way they were before." He said, wiping my tears with his thumbs just as Niall always did.

"You're a monster." I growled, pushing his hands away.

"What?!" He asked.

"You've made the past years of my life hell, along with the rest of the boys! You've literally beaten me and tore me down. You broke my heart, and you expect me to just say that it's all going to be ok?!" I sobbed.

I was then pulled into his hold, wrapping his arms and legs around me like Niall did. I just wept in his chest as he hugged me, gently rocking back and forth in attempt to calm me down.

"I don't expect you to forgive me, I doubt you even believe a word I just said, but I promise you that I regret every decision I made to hurt you." He said.

"Are you going to hurt me for messing up your shirt?" I asked, now staring at the tear stained top.

"No, I didn't like this one anyways." He said, squeezing me a bit tighter.

My feelings for him already started fighting their way back to my heart, but I was scared to let them in...

I walked down the stairs with Harry right behind me, smelling something being made in the kitchen.

"Morning mates!" Harry chimed, walking past me to sit with his friends.

"You took quite a nap." Louis teased.

I responded by taking my usual seat at the end of the island bar, not looking anyone in the eyes as we ate breakfast.

"Don't pick at your food, love." Liam sighed out in annoyance. "I made it for you to eat, not play with."

"I'm not very hungry." I said in almost a whisper.

Liam rolled his eyes at my comment before taking the bowl in front of me away and sending me up to my room. Halfway there, I could feel the presence of someone behind me. Liam was following me. As we walked in I was alarmed by the sound of my door being forcefully closed, along with the click of a lock.

"We need to talk." He said, nearing me. I stumbled back to every step he took towards me, fearful of what was going to happen.

"Why is this so important that you felt the need to scream at us?" He asked, holding up my IPod.

"Niall." I simply stated.

"What about Niall?" He asked.

"Some of his songs are on there. Listening to them helps me cope to him being gone all the time." I said.

I then realized I let my guard down, watching him smirk at his new found information. He simply glided the device into his back pocket, before revealing an oddly familiar rope in it's place between his hands.

"Let's play a game." He said, his head next to my ear. I trembled as the back of his hand smoothly stroked my cheek. "If you win, I'll let you go, but if I win, well, I think you know." He deeply chuckled, now grinning at me evilly. With my back against the wall, I had nowhere to go.

"Want to know a secret?" He asked, his hands firmly finding a spot on my waist. I gulped in response, having a loss for words.

"I still have a thing for you." He chuckled before lightly leaving kisses on my collarbone.

I gasped at his sudden actions, immediately pushing him away. My hand flew up to where his lips had momentarily been, gazing at him in fright.

"Game over." He smirked, walking towards me. He then put his hands on either side of me, the rope between his hands, the wall, and my throat.

"Li-Lia-" I tried to speak, only to hopelessly fail.

"Shh." Liam said, looking me up and down with that stupid smirk still on his face.

I suddenly went weak in the knees, my vision getting blurry. Before I knew it, Liam had released me, and I had fallen to the floor.

"I like playing games with you." He grinned before turning around to leave. He stopped where he stood as my hand gripped his ankle. He looked down at me, confused by my actions.

"Please." I hoarsely begged. "Just finish."

"What?" He asked, now crouching down beside me.

"Just finish what you started." I replied, pulling the rope back towards my throat, his hands still attached.

"What? No." He said, his eyes wide. "I would never-"

"Save it." I said, now looking him in the eyes. "If you won't do this for me, then please just answer me something." I said, my tone nothing less from serious.

"What?" He asked, his eyebrows knitting together.

"Why what?"

"Why do you do this to me." My head instantly hung low.

We sat there, together in silence. Liam then stood up and walked to the door.

"I don't owe you anything, not even an answer." He said, leaving me, wishing I was dead.
