My Bullysitters

All I wanted was to be happy, but I guess that was too much to ask for...

27. All Too Much.

Niall's P.O.V

"Does she always play her music this loud?" Liam asked.

I nodded at him as I knew her routine when she got overly upset.

"She starts off with her headphones, but when they don't get loud enough, she starts up her stereo system."

"When does she stop?" He asked.

"She either cools off on her own, or I have to go up when I can't take her music anymore." I replied.

"It's been over an hour." Harry stated.

"I don't think I have the nerve to go and stop her music rampage after what I did." I replied.

"It'll all be sorted out in good time mate, but you are the adult here." Liam informed.

"You're right. I'll go try to talk some sense into her, after I apologize profusely that is." I slightly laughed.

I walked up the stairs, the boys slowly following behind.

"Katie?" I yelled, knocking loudly on her door. "Katie, open up."

"Maybe she can't hear you." Liam suggested.

"She usually does." I said.

I sighed as I reached above her door frame, feeling around until I found the silver key.

"Katie, I'm coming in!" I yelled, unlocking the door and pushing through.

"Jesus." Harry exclaimed as he took in the sight of her room.

"Don't worry, she's a neat freak. She always puts her room back together after her little rampages. She says it keeps her busy and helps her clear her mind. I dunno, I guess it's a girl thing."

"Where is she?" Liam questioned as I went and switched her music off. The sound of running water could then be heard, assuming she was in the bathroom.

I began rapidly knocking on the bathroom door, shouting her name only to get no response.

"Katie, are you in there?" I yelled. I then frantically began pushing against the door.

"Maybe she can't hear you over the running water." Louis said.

"No, somethings wrong. I can feel it." I said, continuing to shove my weight against the door.

As the door finally burst open, I ran in straight towards my little sister.

"Oh my God." I gasped, shutting the water off.

"Louis, call 911!" I shouted, immediately turning my attention back to Katie. "Katie, can you hear me? Snap out of it!" I said, shaking her shoulders to get a response from her.

"Katie!" Harry yelled, trying to get over to her.

"Just calm down, mate. You need to go sit downstairs." Liam said, trying to control Harry.

"No! She needs me." He yelled, tears rolling down his face.

"Come on, Harry. We need to go down and wait for the paramedics." Zayn said, joining Liam in getting Harry away from the sight.

"They're on their way." Louis said, putting a hand on my shoulder, giving me a look of sympathy.

"I don't understand." I said with teary eyes. "Did I really do this? Did I go too far as to make my own sister want to kill herself?"

"Believe me, Niall. None of this is your fault." Louis said.

"But how would you know?!" I shouted.

"Move!" Shouted a strong voice. Louis and I backed out of the bathroom, letting the men do their job. "She's losing too much blood. We need to get her to the hospital STAT!" He yelled.

I watched as they quickly but carefully lifted her up onto a gurney before rolling her out.

"You guys meet me at the hospital, I'm riding with her." I stated, following the men down the stairs and outside.

I watched her with tears in my eyes as we sped to the hospital.

"You're going to be ok." I said, stroking her hand. "Just hang in there, princess."

Before I knew it we had arrived at the hospital, people rushing Katie into the building.

"Sir, you're going to have to wait here." A women spoke.

"No, I can't leave her." I said, trying to continue down the hall.

"Sir, you can't go in there!" She yelled, grabbing my arm. "You have to wait here while they examine her." She explained in a now calmer tone.

"Right, er, sorry." I said, walking over to one of the chairs while running my hands anxiously through my hair.

I sat there as I waited for the lads to arrive, loosing myself in my thoughts. I silently cursed at myself as I thought of my mum and dad. I couldn't imagine how disappointed they must be with me right now. Not only had I let Katie down, but them as well.

"Niall!" Someone shouted.

I looked up to see everyone rushing into the building and over to me.

"Is she alright?" Harry asked.

"I dunno. They're 'examining' her or something like that. I wasn't allowed in. I've been told to wait in here 'til further notice." I explained.

"Niall, lad. There's something we need to tell you. I'm not sure how you're going to feel about us after this, but I just want you to know how sorry we all are." Liam said.

"I'm not sure now is the best time, mate." Louis said to him.

"Could someone please explain what is going on? What's so bad that would make me feel differently about you all?"

Liam sighed before continuing. "What happened with Katie might have to do with what's been going on the past couple of years." He replied.

"What are you talking about?!" I asked, leaning on the edge of my seat.

"Look, there's no easy way to tell you this mate-"

"Just say it!" I exclaimed, wishing to know what was wrong with my sister.

"Alright." He said, his face turning towards the floor.

"How could you?! I trusted all of you!" I shouted after hearing the news. "Why didn't she ever tell me?" I sobbed, putting my head in my hands.

"Um, Zayn and I have a confession to make as well." Louis added.

"What?" I harshly asked.

"Look, it wasn't Katie's fault she was late. Zayn and I forced her to the locker room. Liam and Harry didn't know about this either." He said.

"What?" Harry growled, making his way over to the other males, Liam stopping him. "And just what were you doing with her there?!" He spat.

"What we all used to do." He answered.

"I swear to God, if you ever-"

"Harry." Liam said, stopping him.

"She never even told me. All those years she lied about hurting herself in p.e. or something happening at the football games during her marching band. Why did she keep it to herself?"

"That's something I want to know too." Liam spoke.

"You don't have the right to even think of her! How could I have been so stupid?! All these years it was you!" I shouted, pointing at all the boys.

"Niall, you've got to believe how incredibly sorry we are. We never meant for any of his to happen."

"Oh, of course not, Liam! You never wanted it to come this far because then I would have found out! And you!" I yelled, pointing to Harry. "I don't want you anywhere near her! Do you understand me?! I-"

"Is there a Niall Horan for-"

"Me! That's me!" I exclaimed, rushing towards the nurse. "How is she?"

"She's doing just fine. She's responded well to the treatment and should be waking up at any moment. You were really lucky this time." She spoke.

"May I see her?" I asked.

"Only three visitors are allowed in the room." She said, looking behind me at the other four guys.

"Don't worry." I said, loud enough for the others to hear. "It's just going to be me."

"Right this way then." She replied, leading me to where Katie was staying.

"Thank you." I said, before she politely nodded and walked away.

I walked over to the bed and examined her. I sighed with relief as I watched the steady rise and fall of her chest while she slept. I went to examine her arms, only to see they had wrapped up the cuts. I could only imagine how bad they must have been.

"You see." I spoke to her slumbered body. "You're a fighter. You're too strong to let this bring you down. I'm so sorry I blew it at taking care of you. I promise, from now on, things are going to get better."

"Mum. Dad." She hoarsely spoke before opening her bright blue eyes. She seemed confused as she took in her surroundings.

"Niall?" She spoke.

"I thought I lost you." I said, gently leaning over to hug her.

"I'm sorry." She said with teary eyes. "I just thought that if I weren't around, everyone's lives would be so much easier."

"I don't know what I'd do without you." I spoke, trying to keep myself together in front of her.

Katie's P.O.V

"Where's Harry?" I asked, not seeing any of the guys anywhere.

"I don't want you near him." He said, his eyes wide. "Why didn't you ever tell me what they did to you? I could have-"

"They told you?!" I asked, sitting up a bit too quickly.

"Easy!" He said, laying me back down. "And yes. They told me everything. Louis even confessed about him and Zayn making you late."

"So why can't I see Harry?" I asked.

"Why are you even with him? How could you even look at them after what they did to you?"

"I want to speak to Harry and Liam." I said, tired of his protective state at the moment.

You're a little late for that part, Niall.

"Fine." He said through gritted teeth, getting up and exiting the room.

Two familiar boys walked through the door a little while later, Harry instantly gluing himself to the bedside.

"Are you ok?" He asked, pressing his forehead to mine.

"I'm fine." I answered, rolling my head to the side.

He removed his head and looked at me.

"Listen. After what happened I had a dream, and I think it was trying to tell me something."

"Like what?" Harry asked, Liam now beside him.

"I'm not sure how you guys are going to take this, but I can't help but feel everything that's happened these past few years could have easily been avoided. My dream was basically about how you're lives would have been without me. Niall never pursued his dream and was stuck with some tramp. Harry never had any friends because we had never met. And Liam, you ended up with the wrong girls because none of them were ever good to you. I was wrong about you, I was wrong about everything."

"I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what your dream has to do with anything." Liam stated.

"If I had said yes to you, Harry and I would still be friends. You guys wouldn't have bullied me, none of this would have happened." I exclaimed.

"Wait, what does this mean?" Harry asked, looking at me wide eyed.

I sighed out before answering his question.

"It means, I choose Liam."
