My Bullysitters

2. About The Boys...

Katie's P.O.V

I looked out the window as Niall drove us down town. I'll admit, the diner we love so much is a little run down, but that doesn't stop us from being regulars. They have a cool, old fashioned theme. The waitresses even wear those cute little poodle skirts and roller skates. I also love the old jukebox they have. I always have to bug Niall for change so I can pick a song.

The drive is about ten minutes, so I guess I'll take this time to tell you about the boys.

Liam is the same age as Niall. They actually graduated together. They attend college together as well. Liam, studying to be a physical therapist, and Niall, studying sound engineering. (Just in case he needs a fall back plan, which I know he won't.)

The rest of the boys attend school with me. Louis is a senior, so he's kind of the leader of the pack at school while Liam's not around.

Zayn is a junior. He's quite clever, but decides to show his more rebellious side.

That leaves Harry to being a sophomore with me. Having most classes together, he easily keeps an eye on me and reports certain things back to the rest of the guys. I honestly don't know why they chose me though. I mean, they're all buddy buddy with my brother Niall. Why do they despise me? It just doesn't add up!

My face lit up as we pulled to the side of the road. Old rock music could be heard from inside the diner as I stepped out of the vehicle. Niall took my hand in his as we made our way through the doors.

"Well look what the cat dragged in!" Yelled Saul. He was the owner and had taken a liking to both of us, as we had him.

"Saul!" I exclaimed, running behind the counter and attacking him with a hug.

"The regular table?" He questioned.

Niall shook his head before explaining, "The lads are joining us tonight."

"Ah! The more the merrier!" Saul announced, leading us to a table to fit everyone. Once seated, I began to stare at Niall. After about a minute he jokingly slammed his menu down.

"Alright, fine!" He said, digging into his pockets and dropping change into my hand.

"Thank you!" I sang, kissing him on the cheek before I bolted for the jukebox. I could hear him chuckling as I did so.

My face was basically glued to the glass as I continued to flip through the record selections. Having difficulty deciding between two, I thought on what Niall might like. I was the one stealing his change and all. Finally coming to a decision, I spun around to head back to the table. My heart then sank as I noticed four new figures at our table, one of them now occupying my spot next to Niall. I exhaled and began to walk back.

"There you are! I thought you might have gotten lost!" Niall joked. Seeing his friends always put him in a good mood, I wish it had the same effect on me.

I attempted a laugh at his joke and approached the empty chair that was left. It of course being next to a head full of curls.

"Hey Katie." Harry grinned, acting as if he were happy about my presence.

Oh spare me.

"Hey." I quietly replied, pretending to be interested in the menu selections, even though I already knew what I wanted.

After ordering our food, everyone began to be engaged in some sort of conversation. I on the other hand watched the rain outside. I looked to my right as I felt someone poke me on my side.

"You ready for your finals?" Harry quizzed, grinning at me.

"She's defiantly ready! I helped her study before we came!" Niall boasted.

I nodded towards Niall as to answer Harry's question.

I was quite happy when our food was delivered, not having to really talk as the boys scarfed down their meals. After our food was gone, their usual talk of girls began. I groaned silently in my head as I hated listening to their arguments on who was hotter, Meagan Fox, or some other girl I hadn't the care to remember.

"Niall, can I go pick another song?" I asked, wanting to get away from their guy talk.

He rolled his eyes while he fiddled around in his pocket before frowning. "Sorry, but I don't think I have anymore change." He said, causing my heart to sink yet again.

"I have some, come on." Harry said while pulling me out of my seat and across the diner.

I was frightened as Niall had sat in a seat with his back to the jukebox. Harry released me once in front of the music machine.

"Here you go." He said, casually dropping the change into my palm. I stared at him in confusion as to why he was being generous. "Consider us even." He smirked.

"E-even?" I stuttered.

"Yeah, you get to pick a song, and I get to pass my exams."

"What?! No! I'm not helping you cheat!" I said, giving him his change back. He then shoved my hands away.

"Pick a song and think about it." He said, giving me a look that made me want to hide. I knew what he and his friends were capable of, and I also knew I didn't have a choice.

I made my way back to the table as everyone was beginning to stand up.

"Ready to head back home?" Niall asked.

"Yeah." I replied, feeling a real smile over come my face.

"Well let me go pay Saul, then we'll be on our way." He said, walking off and leaving me alone with the guys.

"So how have you been?" Louis grinned, walking closer to me.

"Um, I have to go talk to Saul." I said before bolting to catch up with Niall. I knew I would pay for running away, but at least I had the weekend to avoid it.

"Don't forget my hug!" I said, rushing over to Saul.

"And why would I do a thing like that?!" He chuckled, wrapping his arms around me. "Have a good weekend, and I want good scores on those tests, you hear me?" He said, sending us on our way.

"Yes sir!" I replied, walking out with Niall.

"It was great hanging out. Maybe you guys could come over tomorrow? And Harry, you could study with Katie if you needed to." He said.

What?! No! Niall, are you insane?!

"That sounds great actually." Harry replied, sending me an evil smirk. The others nodded in agreement to Niall's statement on coming over.

"Alright, see you guys." He said, ushering me into the vehicle.

"Aren't you glad I got you a study partner?!" Niall asked while pulling into the driveway, happiness clear in his voice.

"Yeah." I lied.

Now inside our dry home I made my way up the stairs.

"You know," Niall continued. "I think Harry might be into you."

"Ew! Gross! Niall, stop talking!" I said.

I heard him sigh and soon realized he wasn't joking. I then also realized why he had asked Harry to study with me.

"I thought you were done playing match maker, Ni." I said. It was true that I had never been popular with, as I liked to call them, the male species, and Niall knew it.

"I was just suggesting-"

"I'm happy just being with you." I smiled.

"Well I'm not always around." He stated.

"Well I can do better than Harry." I said, trying not to sound too bitter.

"Whoa. What's wrong with Harry?" He questioned.

"I'm just not interested. That's all." I said, now at my bedroom door.

"Well, alright." He then wrapped me in a big hug. "Good night princess. I hope you sleep well."

"You too Ni. I love you."

"I love you too." He then kissed my forehead before strolling down the hall to his room.

I shut my door before shuddering at the thought of Harry and I being together. I was knocked out of my unwanted thoughts by the sound of my phone going off.

From: Harry...

'How's it going 'study buddy'? ;)'

To: Harry...

'Sleeping. Bye.'

I then set my phone down and crawled into bed. I at least needed sleep so I could face the events of tomorrow.
