The Slytherin Scandal: Year Two

Sirius Black, a world renounced murderer, is an animagus. He is on the loose and for some reason is going to Hogwarts. But after Lea meets Sirius, she's not sure if all those things are true.

Things begin to get odd when Lea finds out that the new DADA professor is an old friend of Sirius'. On the first day back, she also learns her teacher's worst and most hated secret. What happens when those two meet and an old friend comes back from the dead?

2. Sirius Black

Lea stared at the animal and he stared at her. They didn't break eye contact for almost a minute. Then lea decided to see what would happen if he closed her eyes. She did and started to search for a mind to enter, but the star angle mind kept distracting her.

Lea opened her eyes to see the dog's nose almost touching hers. "Will you please back up," she asked him in the language of dogs.

Lea saw the surprise in the dog's eyes as he backed off. The dog tilted his head to the left. "Please change into your human form, sir," she told him. This confused the dog so much so that without trying, he turned human.

Lea was surprised to see a familiar face looking back. The man was a mass murderer called Sirius Black. She had seen his picture all over the muggle news and on the news paper in the wizarding world.

Lea stared at him, thinking about her next move. "How did you know," Sirius asked her in a raspy voice.

"You feel like McGonagall when she's in cat form," Lea said carefully. She was slowly reaching for her wand up her left sleeve.

"Don't even try it," the man said threateningly. Well, it could have been considered a threatening if his voice wasn't so quiet and in need of water.

Lea glared at him. "What do you want," she asked.

"Nothing," he said. He turned back into a dog and started to walk off.

"I saw you, don't you think you should keep me quiet," Lea asked trying to keep him talking, afraid that he would have her let her guard down then attack.

"I'll be long gone by then," he said after turning back to her.

Lea thought fast as he began turning back to dog form. Quickly she pushed as hard as she could into Sirius' mind. Severus had taught her that she could do Legilimency without anyone know she's there or cause intense pain affectively crippling them temporarily. Right now, Lea chose to do the latter.

The black dog dropped to the ground whining and turned back into his human shape. Lea took no notice of this because she was deep in Sirius' mind, looking through a life time of memories in very little time.

First they were at Hogwarts, Severus was being bullied by him and some friends, they walked out of O. W. L. S. and were talking about the test. Then they were in a dark street on a warm and dark summer night. Sirius was angry and ran at a small cowering man with a rat like face.

"THEY'RE DEAD!!!! DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!!!! IT WAS THE PERFECT PLAN AND YOU WERE WORKING FOR HIM," Sirius screamed as he picked up the man by his collar. The man pushed away from Sirius and Disapperated.

Sirius caught up with him two days later in a crowded muggle street. "THEY'RE DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU SIRIUS," the man screamed at him for all to hear.

There was a sudden burst of light and the little man was gone, only his finger remained. Thirteen muggle bodies were around Sirius and he was there laughing with pure joy that the mad man had died.

Sirius was in a cage like structure while lea looked on beside him, half in and half out of the cage. She saw and heard an man with salt and pepper hair shout "Guilty" before a room and that was it.

Now both of them were in a small cell, Sirius was miss arable but kept repeating "I'm innocent, innocent," to himself as he sat on the cot.

Countless memories just like that flew by in a blur. Nearly ten years later Sirius was still in the cell. There was no more muttering on his part, he just sat there silently. Years of the same type of memories flew pasted.

Two years later, he was still sitting there rotting food around him. He was pale and starved. Fudge came in holding the Daily Profit. "May I have that, for the puzzle," asked Sirius after getting a glimpse at the front page.

Fudge threw it at him and walked quickly off, unnerved by his calm demeanor. Sirius snatched the paper and looked at the picture of a rat on a boy's shoulder intensely. The boy was Ron Weasley.

The next thing they saw was a memory that Sirius watched in his mind's eye that took all of his senses. He was watching the same rat running towards a giant tree and pressing a knot.

"Way to go, Wormtail," cried Sirius. The rat squeaked and seemed to smile as it turned into the rat looking man, only years younger.

"Thanks," he said blushing.

As suddenly as the memories changed, they vanished leaving Lea dazed and on the ground.

Sirius in dog form walked over and sniffed at her. It had taken all his concentration to force her out of his skull and he had to do it when her mind was weakest, when she was trying to reach out to a wizard for help. If Sirius had not tried so hard while she did that, he would still be back in his memories while the girl called for help.

He was sure that on anyone else, with the exception of only a handful of wizards and witches, she would have succeeded and kept going for as long as needed.

Sirius sniffed the girl again. She was fine but she would sleep for a while. He walked back the way she came and found a young cat. He told her that a girl needed her help and walked back down the street.

Lea woke to find Raven sitting on her chest telling her to wake up. Lea wondered for a moment about what happened. It was when Raven mentioned the bid black dog when everything came rushing back.

Lea walked home and was cursed with a terrible headache for the rest of the day. What was worse was that the next day it lingered for half of the day. That stopped her from making sense of the memories until she was falling asleep.

Lea kept the encounter to herself. She felt stupid and embarrassed about the whole thing. Not to mention that she loved a mystery and Lea desperately wanted to find out what was going on.

Who was that rat man? Why did he fake his death and was the rat man correct an it was Sirius' fault about whoever died or was it the rat man's? This was going to be another interesting year!
