The Slytherin Scandal: Year Two

Sirius Black, a world renounced murderer, is an animagus. He is on the loose and for some reason is going to Hogwarts. But after Lea meets Sirius, she's not sure if all those things are true.

Things begin to get odd when Lea finds out that the new DADA professor is an old friend of Sirius'. On the first day back, she also learns her teacher's worst and most hated secret. What happens when those two meet and an old friend comes back from the dead?

16. Lea Bitten

Lea woke to have Raven jump on her head, purring so loudly that Lupin and Severus, both waiting for Dumbledore (Lupin hadn't said anything yet), came to look at what the noise was.

"Ugh, Raven, please stop, that hurts," Lea purred. "Thanks," she said when Raven decided to jump down and circle her bed. Lea was her kitten, at least until she was healed.

"You're lucky," Madame Pomfrey said as she came to check on her. "You'll only have scaring, no permanent damage, which means no limp or serious muscle damage. What kind of wound is this? I couldn't heal it with magic."

Cool, Lea though a she imagined the silver scar design.

"Ah, your finally awake, Miss Talbot. I was hoping you could shed some light on what happened," said a clam and old voice.

Lea just sat there, trying to remember. The last thing she truly remembered was a pain in her left leg and right arm.

"What happened," Lea asked Raven softly.

"You were more curious than a newborn kit an decided to go off adventuring. Only the Old Ones know how you got into so much trouble," she started. The Old Ones were the old and huge cats that lived before us. They are all extinct by now, but they were more intelligent than many believe.

"The Wolfman was in wolf form and he bit you, twice. You ran, found somewhere quiet and slept. You would not wake up until you were brought here," Raven explained. Then she jumped up onto Lea's stomach and pressed her claws against the soft tissue.

"Never do anything that foolish without telling me again. Or by the Old Ones, I will hunt you like a mouse. Is that clear, kit," she asked.

"Yes," I wheezed. It was then I noticed that the adults were trying to shoo Raven off me. "Please get off." Raven jumped off after sticking her claws in deep one more time. Thankfully, no blood was drawn.

"What was that all about," Severus asked with a glare at Raven.

"A lesson that I should learn," was Lea's reply. "I don't really remember what happened," she said answering Dumbledore's question. She hadn't lied, but she didn't tell him that Raven had just told her.

"I do," whispered Lupin. Everyone turned.

"I didn't take enough potion, I think I'm growing an immunity to it. I didn't know that, but now I do," Lupin started.

"I had transformed and for some reason, I wasn't in control anymore. It was like I was driven back by the wolf again.

"Lea came in after I had started to whine because I had bitten my paws again. I guess she had heard me whine and though I was hurt." Lupin paused before going on.

"The next thing I know, I was butting Lea's arm, she managed to hit me in the muzzle, then twist her arm free. She ran and I ran after. I bit and clawed her leg. She kicked me, hard and ran out of the room. The door closed behind her," Lupin finished looking at the floor.

Lea quickly found her wand, and proceeded to dump freezing cold water on his head. Jumped at the cold and started shivering.

"There, now we're even," Lea said. Lupin was shivering too much to talk or contradict, which was her whole plan.

"I see," Dumbledore said. "This is most uncommon."

"I'll pack my things," Lupin said.

Severus was silent. Could it have been his fault for not making more potion for Lupin to drink? He may have hated Lupin and not trust him, but even he had to admit, it was not solely his fault.

That did not stop him from wanting him in Azkaban. He fully agreed that Lupin should be locked up.

"You can't leave," Lea began reasonably.

"Why the h-ll not," Severus asked, glaring at him.

"Because he knows Sirius Black better than anybody here and isn't he here to try and kill Harry," she went on.

"Having him leave because of an accident could lead to the death of a student," Lea plowed on. "Besides, I was bitten by a werewolf, right," she prompted.

The others nodded, not understanding where this was going.

Lea rolled her eyes. Even the cleverest adults could be so daft. "Which means that I'm a werewolf. And I need someone to help teach me what what's what of being a werewolf." Meaning dawned on their faces and Dumbledore gave her a quick wink before turning away.

"There you have it, you and Miss Talbot have an extra class, Werewolf Studies," Dumbledore said getting up.

"All though, I do not believe that you will need any of the Potion that Severus makes. You bond with animals probably let's you control yourself when in wolf form. You may also be able to change when the moon is not full or not change when it is.

"It's just a guess though," Dumbledore told her.

I wonder if that's true, Lea thought. Then she thought of something else. She looked down at the bandages.

"How long do I have to stay here," Lea asked Madame Pomfrey.

"Three days and nights more. Then you can go to classes. Unfortunately, it may take about two weeks until you can write or carry anything at all. You will also have a limp for about two weeks. I can give you something for the pain," Madame Pomfrey said.

Lea nodded, this was going to be like an eternity.
