19. The Couch and Kitchen Kingdoms

         2 Days Later

Luke's POV

Boston came home today, and we had planned for her to come over. I was still getting ready and thinking about whether or not to tell Boston about the tickets when there was a knock on the door. I ran to open it, and as soon as I did Boston flung her arms around me and said, "I'm so sorry I missed your birthday!"

"It's okay, babe." I lightly kissed her nose and closed the door. "What would you like to do today?" I asked.

"I don't care. Really, anything is fine." She kissed my cheek then pranced into my living room and plopped down on the couch.

I chuckled and sat next to her. "Boston, I kind of need to tell you something..." She became alarmed, but waited for me to continue. "For my birthday Abby got me two tickets to Paris." Boston's eyes lit up. That is, untill I finished. "I have to bring her."

"What?! I'm your girlfriend, Luke! You can't just take another girl to Paris!! That's SO not right! Now how am I supposed to know you're not cheating on me with her?! I thought you loved me!!" Yes, I expected her to be mad, but I was taken aback by her words.

"Boston! What are you talking about?! I do love you and I would never cheat on you! Abby and I are just close friends, nothing more. Calm down. Nothing is going to happen...." It was true, I had no intention on cheating on her. I loved Boston... Why would I cheat on her?...

Boston took a few deep breaths then stated, "Okay... Sorry I overreacted..."

"It's okay baby, I just need you to know that I would NEVER chear on you." The rest of the day we spent cuddling on the couch and watching movies.

Abby's POV

I threw on my hoodie and beanie then skated over to Calum's house on my penny board. His parents still weren't home, so When I got there I just walked in without knocking. "Calum! I'm here!" I didn't see him in the living room or kitchen, so I walked back to his room; only to find him in only his boxers. "Jesus Christ Calum!! You knew I was coming over! Put some clothes on!" I laughed when I saw him jump, surprised, at me walking in. I then walked away into the kitchen.

I was about to start on my third cup of yogurt Calum walked out fully clothed. "Er.... Sorry about that..."

"It's fine." I laughed, "By the way, you only have one yogurt cup left." I got up and threw away the cup.

"You've eaten three things of yogurt?! Wow! Remind me again why I let you come over." I shrugged. He should be used to me eating all of his food. "Anyways... What would you like to do today?"

"I dont know." I walked over and hugged him.

    "Watcha doin...?"

"Absolutely nothing..." I let go and ran over and plopped down onto the couch. "When was the last time you watched Finding Nemo?" He shrugged and sat down next to me. I grabbed my bag and pulled out four movies and four things of unpopped popcorn.

He gasped a bit then started laughing. "Do you just carry around movies and popcorn around with you?"

"Occasionally. You never know when you're gonna need to watch a good movie. Today just seemed like a movie type of day, plus it's supposed to rain today." Calum took a thing of popcorn and walked into the kitchen. I spread the movies across the coffee table. "So.. Which movie? Finding Nemo, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Avengers, or Anchorman?" I looked up to find Calum standing there with a bowl of popcorn.

"Hm.. Choices, choices." He chuckled and continues, "Avengers."

I took the bowl of popcorn and handed him the movie. "Then put the movies in peasant."

"Did you just call me a peasant?!" I nodded. "Who are you? The queen?!" I nodded again. Calum leaned down and kissed me. "Then I just kissed the queen."

I sat in shock. "What the hell Calum?! Just friends, remember?!"

"Oh... Er... Yeah... Sorry," He stumbled. Then he put the movie in and sat next to me.

During the movie I didn't feel very comfortable around him, but about half way through I gave up being mad and cuddled into his side. "Sorry..."

"It's okay. Now, shut up and watch the movie."

By the time the movie was over it was pouring. I asked, "So, would you like to watch another movie or do something else?"

"We should make cookies." I looked at him confused. "Hey! Don't look at me like that! I'm craving chocolate chip cookies right now, okay?"

"Okay, cookies it is." I got up and went into the kitchen. I got out all the ingredients. Then Calum walked in and sat down. "Woman! If you want cookies you have to help make them!"

He gasped and snapped, "You may be the Queen of the Couch, but I'm the King of the Kitchen! Now make me some cookies!"

I threw flour at him. "Oh, I'm sorry King Calum, did I insult you?"

He got up and walked over to me. "Peasant! Where are my cookies?!"

"Peasant?! I'm no peasant! I'm a fair maiden!"

Calum then picked me up and flung me over his shoulder. "Well then, fair maiden. As long as you are in my Kitchen Kingdom you are my subject. I demand cookies."

    I giggled. "Put me down!"

"How dare thy disobey my orders! Are you deaf? I oughta feed you to the wolves!"

I tried my hard not to laugh. "Not the wolves! Anything but the wolves!" He then sat me down on the counter and I made a run for it. I jumped onto the couch and he ran after me. "You're in my Couch Kingdom now, peasant! I order you to make me cookies!"

This went on for the next hour or so without either of us even attempting to make cookies. Eventually, we were back where we started, but this time I was sitting on the table with him in front of me. "I'll give you one last chance. Fair maiden, you can either make me cookies, or your head can be in the moat."

"Well, you could do that, but last time I checked, you still need someone to make you cookies. Unless cookies started making themselves." I giggled.

"You're lucky I fancy you." Calum then took the opportunity to kiss me, and this time I wasn't as phased by it. "I'll make you a deal. I'll let you live and you don't have to make me cookies, but you have to stay the night."

"I'd have to ask my mother, but I'm sure that could be arranged, seeing as you are the king."

"Then you should get your phone and ask your mother." he kissed my cheek and helped me off the table. I walked out to my 'Kingdom' and got out my phone.

After about 10 minutes on the phone, my mom finally agreed to let me stay. I hung up and turned to Calum. "Well, I'm not skating in the rain, so if you want me to stay, you can drive me home to get my things."
