Searching (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

"One look, one night, one simple silent glance and that was all it took. I had to find her. And somehow, some way, I would find her, even if that meant searching the entire world to see her eyes again." ~Niall Horan

20. Chapter 20

Annabell's POV:

"Annabell, wait up!!" The velvet haired girl chirped, speed walking to catch up. "I have short legs!" She complained.

I gave a laugh, "Well, keep up! We don't have much time. We're promoting love here."

This time it was her turn to laugh. She grabbed my hand and pulled me to a stop. "Annabell?" I turned to glance at her and she had tears in her eyes.

"What? What's wrong?" She pulled me into a hug, which I returned after my second of surprise. "Thank you so much...this means a lot." She whispered. I pulled back to smile at her.

"It's nothing really."

"But it is. You put your life aside to help. You could be doing so many cool things right now."

"I am doing something cool." I told her holding up a hand to stop her. "I've had more fun this past few days then I have almost my entire life. So...thank you."

She smile a teary smile at me. There was a sudden crash as things tumbled over and we both jumped and looked around for the source of the sound. I gaped at the figure that stood in the open doorway.

"You..." The man growled glaring daggers into her blue eyes.

"Annabell.... We need to run." She said grabbing me.

"No. Go to Niall's dressing room. I will handle him." I told her. She stared at me in disbelief. "Go, C-"

I was cut off when I heard Richard laugh. "Handle me?" I gave her another stern look and she nodded and ran off. Richards eyes flickered to her and he took off. I grabbed the closest thing my hands could find which happened to be a metal pole. I swung hard, hitting him in the stomach, winding him instantly. He dropped to the floor, holding his gut. "You can't let her go back there." He coughed. "She wont be able to handle a life like this."

"I think she can handle it." I kept the pole clutched to my chest as I turned away. I screamed out when his hand wrapped around my ankle, tripping me. The pole rolled away, "Shit!" I gasped and kicked. My shoe slipped off and I scrambled toward the pole. I grabbed it and sat up.

Richard was across the room, next to the power switch. One hand was on the switch, waiting to pull it. The other was holding a gun. A gun that was pointed right at me.

"Please stop this." I whispered.

He smiled. "Now this is my game. Stand up." I got to my feet quickly, shaking like a leaf. "Drop the pole." I did what he said; the echo of the metal hitting the floor would be something I would never forget. It was like time had slowed down. He turned away for half a second and I eyed the pole again. I quickly scooped it up and ran at him. I saw his hand raise and he pulled the trigger.

Louis's POV:

I would never forget Annabell's blood curdling scream. It was something that would travel with you for life.

The last thing I remember after the gun shot, the power went out. Zayn was panicking and the room filled with a sickeningly sweet smell. I felt light headed. I heard a thump.

"Eric?! Eric wake up!!" Lola yelled.

Another thump to my right.

"Marissa!" Liam yelled.

I clutched Harry's hand in mine. This couldn't be it.

"Lou, whats happening?" Harry begged in the darkness. His voice sounded so far away.

"Lola!" Calum yelled.

"Michael? Michael this isnt funny!" Luke yelled.

"Calum knock it off wake up!" Luke sounded like he was about to cry.

"Crap! Zayn! Mate, wake up! Cmon!" Liam said.

"Lou, answer me." I could hear the tears in Harry's voice.

"Liam?!" Luke sounded afraid.

No one yelled out for Luke...

"Louis!!" Harry shook me.

I felt myself tip sideways and a loud thump before Harry shouted my name again. Just before I blacked out, I felt Harry collapse against me.
