Tell Me A Lie (Sequel to Save You Tonight)

Will Nat and Louis ever get the chance to just be happy? Or will Jack tear them apart?

12. XI

Finally came up with something :D!

Arriving home, the house seemed super quiet. Louis’ Mum had agreed to take the twins for a few days whilst we got Leonie settled. It was the summer holidays so they wouldn’t have to miss school or anything. Louis had kindly finished the nursery, it was more pink than anything else. Unlike the twins’ nursery he wanted Leonie’s to be truly girly. “It’s beautiful Lou.” I whispered, Leonie sleeping in my arms.

“It’s only what she deserves, why don’t you pop her down in her cot? We can put monitors on and hopefully get a hour or so’s rest.” He replied quietly. I nodded, walking over and placing her down as carefully as possible.

Louis had made me a coffee and something to eat whilst I was upstairs. I still felt super sore from the birth and I appreciated how caring he was being.

“Lou you shouldn’t have.” I said sitting down.

“Oh but I should babe, I’m here to look after you, after all look at what you’ve given me.”

I smiled. “You can be such a soppy one sometimes.” I breathed deeply. “I love you.”

“I love you so much more! Now how about we watch some TV? Have some us time before our little cherub wakes up?”

“Sounds good.” I replied, snuggling myself into his chest, loving how safe it all felt now I knew Jack had been arrested. He held me close, kissing my forehead as we laid watching CSI. I can imagine both of us wondering how long Leonie would be asleep.

Hearing some murmurs on the monitor, I knew it would probably mean Leonie was about to wake up. Nat had drifted off to sleep and I felt like I’d be an arsehole if I woke her. I crept off the sofa, taking the monitor with me and disappeared into the kitchen. Making her bottle up, I made doubly sure it wasn’t too hot, this was my first time feeding her so I didn’t wanna mess up.

“Hey there baba! Mummy’s fast asleep so Daddy’s gonna feed you.” I cooed as I picked her up gently. She gurgled, making me smile. I could tell even now she was gonna look just like her Mum and that would mean someone very beautiful.

She happily drank her milk, she was a hungry baby. The first night she went through 12 ounces of milk, so the midwife told us to do her four ounce bottles instead of the usual two they recommend and so far it meant longer intervals between her feeds. Meaning we can all get a little more sleep.

I hope the twins take to Leonie, I know it’s gonna be a huge change for them. I hoped now they were both at nursery it’d help a little, give Nat a tiny break from having all three at once and the band had no crazy tours or anything so any meetings, Simon has agreed to do in morning so that when the twins finish nursery, I’ll be home to give Nat a hand. Everything should run smoothly I hope.

The next two days were all about the three of us though, I loved my Mum so much for being so understanding. The twins love it at her house as well so it’s a win win for us as a family. Of course she couldn’t wait to meet her third grandchild and even though me and Nat knew it was going to be a girl, we didn’t tell anyone else.

I laughed to myself as Leonie let out a huge burp, for someone so small you just wouldn’t expect it. I decided to change her before hopefully getting her back to sleep. “Time for some sleepies baba! Let Daddy cook Mummy a special dinner for being so amazing.”

I rocked her in my arms gently. “You’ll never love yourself half as much as I love you. You’ll never treat yourself right darling but I want you to. If I let you know I’m here for you. Maybe you’ll love yourself like I love you.” I sang over and over as I rocked her to sleep. Smiling as she drifted off.
