17. Loose Ends

"Bye Aunt Kate! Have a good day at work!" I shouted running out the door. The air was getting colder, my bare arms causing me to shiver.

I was walking down the street when a pale blue convertible pulled up beside me, the driver giving me a cheeky sideways glance. I laughed and got into the passenger seat.

"You know I can walk right?" I giggled kissing Harry's cheek.

"Not if I can help it." He winked pulling into the parking lot. He parked in the same spot everyday, but today, there stood Liam, sitting lazily on the platform of the street lamp. His face was worn out and looked as if he hadn't slept in days.

He looked up at me as I shut the car door, his eyes full of guilt. Before I could react, Harry was at my side, gripping my waist tightly.

"Bay, I'm so sorry." He begged dropping to his knees. "Can you ever forgive me?"

I sighed and grabbed Harry's torso tightly. I didn't want to be here. "Drunk actions are sober thoughts."

He shook his head and dug it into his hands. His body shook violently, sniffles erupting muffled from his mouth. I watched in horror as he couldn't control himself, his sobs completely taking control of his body.

"Please. Please Bay. Forgive me." He pleaded grabbing my hand. His fingers traced my knuckles soothingly.

"Liam, I need time. What you did is hard to forgive." I answered removing his grip from my hand. He sighed and stood up slowly.

"Okay. As long as you can one day." With that he walked towards the school, shoulders slumped and head down in shame. I almost felt bad for the lad. Almost.

"Come on." I urged dragging Harry to the school.

He laughed. "Why in such a hurry?"

I opened the door to the school and everyone stared at us. A group of girls in mini skirts glared at me enviously, their eyes burning holes into me. Harry grabbed my waist and walked me down the hallway hurriedly, ignoring the glares and desperate eyes. When we came to my locker, Harry kissed my cheek lovingly.

"So why are you in a hurry?"

I gulped. "I have some loose ends to tie."

He smirked and pulled me close to his body, his hot breath on my skin sending chills down my body. "I think our audience wants a show."

He grabbed the back of my neck and kissed me passionately. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me, the space between us being eliminated. Gasps and groans echoed behind me and I felt Harry smirk on my lips.

"Do you think they liked it?" He asked detaching out lips. I ran my hands through his soft curls.

"Totally worth the price of admission."

He laughed and kissed me one more time before disappearing down the hallway.

"Hey Louis." I sang sitting down next to him. He gave me a weird look and started to doodle in his notebook.

"I'm sorry." He said never looking at me. "I shouldn't have gotten jealous and been a jerk. You and Harry deserve each other."

I sighed and grabbed his hand. "It's okay Louis. I shouldn't have let you kiss me and get attached."

He grinned. "It was a pleasure getting attached to you though."

I rolled my eyes and let go of his hand. "Whatever you say."

Mr.Baker cleared his throat loudly, causing everyone in the room to look his direction. Most were shocked considering it's been almost two months and Baker hasn't taught us anything whatsoever.

"Good morning class!" He sang uoy clapping his hands. "Everyone take out your textbook and turn to chapter five."

The class looked around perplexed. We never got textbooks. All we did was complete worksheets and quizzes, small passages along with it.

Mr.Baker crossed his arms. "Does no one have a textbook?"

We shook our heads in unison.

"Well, we must get some. Bay? Louis? Would you two mind going down to the office?" We both nodded our heads and headed out of the classroom.

"So, are you going to Sam's party?" Louis asked. I whipped my head in his direction. Sam? Having a party? That sounds sketchy.

"I don't think Sam would want me there." I mumbled playing with my thumbs.

"Why? Aren't you guys like best friends?"

I groaned and crossed my arms. "Used to be. Until I started being friends with you guys."

Louis smirked and grabbed the handle of the office door. "I don't blame him. All boys get jealous seeing the perfect woman with another man."

I blushed and entered the office.
