Shady Creek Lane

"Hey, where is Logan?"

"It's three at night!"

"Why do you always keep helping me?"

"I know I've never been there for you when you needed me."

"Promise me there won't be another fight."

"I love you..."

5. Daddy

Just then the door of my bedroom busted open. "Whoa, this clearly isn't the bathroom."

(Drew's POV)

Angel pulled away immediately. There was a small figure looking in the room from the dark corridor. It stepped forward in the room. It was a little boy about ten years old. His black hair was messy which showed he'd just got up. He had green sparkling eyes. He directed those eyes to Angel, then to me, and then back to her.

"W-what are you doing here Chris?" She asked trying to sound disturbed, but I could tell that she was scared. So was I.

"Well, I was looking for the bathroom." He put his hands on his waist and popped his head. "Anyway who is he?" He pointed me with his eyes when he said 'he'.

"It's not your business." She hissed and glared at him.

He smirked. "Well then, I can make it mom and dad's business." He thretened her. She panicked.

I decided to get in the conversation. "Who are you?" I asked. I already knew his name was Chris and he probably was Angel's little brother but I needed to gain time before he ran to his parents. "I am her brother." He howled. Wow, scary for a little boy!

"Nice to meet you. I'm Drew. Do you like video games Chris?" He nodded. I got relieved and continued. "Do you have any?" His expression got softer. "I've got detention. Mom won't buy me any." I smiled. "Well, I've got some at hom. You know, you can use them anytime you want." He got excited. "Really?" he asked. I nodded. "Yeah. Why not?" He thanked me about a million times then turned to Angel. "You're lucky for this time." With that he hopped out of the room.

After he left I turned to Angel to find her staring at me. "How did you do that? It takes me an hour - at least - to convince him to shut up. And all of the money I have." She asked in shock. I smiled. "Video game power." She shrugged and asked. "Are you okay? Can you go home alone?" "Yeah." I answered.  "Are you sure you don't want me to drive you?" she insisted. "Believe me, I can do it myself." She didn't seem sure. "You're drunk." "I'm not!" I protested. "Yeah you smell so." She yelled back at me with a clear sarcasm in her voice.

I didn't say anything. I got out of the room and ran downstairs, to the entrance. She followed me. The sound of raindrops hitting the house was more clear here, next to the door. I turned around to her. She stopped herself just in the right time before she crashed me. "I'll be alright." I said and kissed her for a brief second. Then I got out of the house under the rain and got in my car.

(Alex's POV)

I found myself staring at the closed door. I blinked a few times before I realised that I was in the entrance of the house. I went upstairs to my room. I looked at my watch again. 4:12. It was late and I was tired but I still couldn't sleep. I kept thinking. Did I love him? No, Alex, you don't. You don't love him. He doesn't love you too. He still loves Jade. And that kiss, it wasn't anything important. But I cared about him. I cared about that he was cold under the rain. I cared about that he got hurt in the fight. I cared about that Jade made him feel that way. I cared.

I got out of my bed and went downstairs heading for the kitchen to get myself a cup of hot chocolate. When I got there I heared a noise. There was a light coming from the fridge's open door. I smiled. Daddy, I thought, You won't change. I went next to him to hug and I kissed his cheek.  "Have you shaved?" I asked him because his beard usually hurt my lips. When I pulled away I screamed. This was not daddy.

A/N: I'm so sorry that this chapter sucks, but it's because my computer shut down when I first wrote it and I hadn't saved it. I'm so sorry about that :(
