3. Chapter 3. Like I said, MY ROOM!

I cant believe that someone saw me. I sat on the edge of the bed with my head in the palms of my hands. The one chance I was almost ha- ha- ha- ha-p-py. That word gives me chills, I haven’t been that since I was 8, ever since then I have never been the same. On the other hand my little sister who was only 1 at the time really didn’t, like really miss my mom because she was so little. It did take a toll on everyone though. My dad was torn apart and upset, on the weekends he used alcohol but wasn’t the abusive type. Never has been.

I was interrupted of my thoughts (this seems to happen a lot to me) by Mandy walking in my room. Like I said before this is my room. MY ROOM. It’s the one place I can think.

“Hey Promise” She paused to see if I was listening “Did you know that 5 boys fallowed you here”?

I knew who she was talking about but I didn’t know they fallowed me here. I just shook my head.

“Ok” was all she said before she left. She was almost out the door when she turned back around and said “It’s time to get some sleep. Also if you ever need someone to talk to I’m always here” She smiled then left closing the door behind her. I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding in. Both Mandy and I knew I wasn’t going to talk to anyone for a while about this. It would bring back to many memories. I just sighed and got off the bed. I walked over to the window looking out at the pitch black sky with the occasional star. Before I turned around I caught a glimpse of someone looking up here, but before I had time to the figure was gone. I was so confused that I just decided to go to bed and not worry about it. How could anyone see me I was 5 stories up? Plus my room is pitch black like the sky only to be lit up by moon light.

I just lay my head down and soon I was consumed by a deep, deep sleep.

“The wheels on the bus go ‘round and ‘round. ‘Round and ‘round ‘round and ’round.” My 7 year old sister sang as we were driving to the water park.

It was for my 14th birthday and I was so excited. She kept singing that for the next 5 minutes. I was in the passenger’s side of the car and my sister was behind the driver’s seat. I looked over to my sister to tell her something when the whole car flipped. I was still awake but what I did notice was that my side f the car was untouched. The side my dad and sister were on was completely demolished.

I woke up with a pool of sweat all around me. My breathing was shaky and I was trembling. I was so scared it was so real every part every detail.

“Wanna talk about it” Miss. Diane asked from the side of the room. I almost jumped out of my skin. I had no idea she was here. Instead of saying something I shook my head and pulled my knees up to my chest and started to rock back and forth.

“Are you sure you were screaming pretty loud almost like terror kind of scream” in my head I was giving her the finger and thinking ‘are you that stupid of course I was screaming that’s why it’s called a nightmare it’s scary dumbo’. I didn’t say any of it out loud thou in fear she would get mad.

Miss. Diane got up off the spare bed and dusted off her pants.

“Well come down its breakfast time” I reluctantly got up and followed her. When I got to the last step all the kids froze and looked at my every move. I just hung my head low and shuffled my feet over to the breakfast bar. Ok it’s not really a bar or a buffet it was a little counter with 2 types of food. I chose the poptart when went back up to my room. But before I was all the way up to the 5th floor I heard some rude comments like

“Why is she even down here?”

“God look at her she’s like eww”

“Does she even speak? I’ve never heard he talk, maybe she’s mute”

To that last one I snapped my head in the direction of the kid. I didn’t want to be rude but I just looked at her. I had the feeling of I was about to cry. I just dismissed the feeling and tried not to think about it. I walked the rest of the way up to my room and slammed the door shut behind me. I walked to the window and looked down. I once again saw something but as quick as it came it was gone.
