Dead End

KC Circuit isn't a race track. She's a normal teenage girl who takes a fancy to training sports or self defense, or painting with metallics.

Her life is really put to the test when everything changes. The once crowded streets of her hometown, Silverville, are teeming with parasites so vicious, it can change the way of humanity. And not in the way that people the way that people die, and come crawling back to life.
Zombies. And they're out to get her.

Dedicated to my best friend Ellie Ruddlesdin :)

Hope you enjoy!!!!

2. Phone call

KC was on the phone with Katie in minutes. Katie, luckily, picked up around about the third ring. Her voice seemed as wobbly as KC's.

'Katie, I think...I think they lied to me. I think they've left me.'

Katie whimpered.

'KC, the exact same thing has happened to me. They just... they just left. The only thing left in their bedroom is the bed. They must have shipped the rest of it off. Do you think this has happened to everyone? Why us?'

KC didn't have an answer. What the hell was going on? This was so sudden. Nothing had ever happened like this to her in her life.

'Katie, one of the last things they said to me was to invite you over if it made me feel safer. What does that mean?'

Something rustled at the other end.

'Hold on. If they are gone, like, for good, I'm packing my bags. KC, I'm coming over to yours. I'll be about fifteen minutes, okay?'

'Katie, don't you think thats a little dramatic?'

'They obviously left us, KC. Isn't that more dramatic?'

KC didn't know how to reply. Instead she agreed, and hung up. The house was eerily silent. It really made her heart jump, even at the slightest movement. She placed the phone back on the wall outside the kitchen, and hopped onto the sofa. She REALLY wanted to know what was going on. And soon.
