Forbidden ~ Harry Styles ~ (On Hold)

* Harry is not famous in this story *

Many say how there are two kinds of people in this world.

In Pax town there certainly are two kinds of very different people. I never really understood the name of our little town, after all "pax" means peaceful in latin, but believe me, we're anything but.

From a very young age I've been told to stay away from them. You may call them The Rebels, but out here everyone calls them the lower class, the scums, the bastards.

We are very different from them, like North and South, hot and cold; we're complete opposites. Besides the constant rumours about them going around, I can't help but think what it would be like to be them for a day....

My father would never allow it. He'd never let his only daughter do anything close to danger.
Apart from all the warnings, there's always one of the rebels who catches my eye.

I believe his name is Harry, Harry Styles.

18. The Letter

"You've got to come with us." Concern was written deeply within Lotte's eyes, and, for the first time, I realized the urgency of the situation.

"Where is he? Is he alright?" My worry grew stronger, I needed to know he was safe.

"We can't say." Avy had an aura around her that was nothing alike to what she usually portrayed, "Momo's got something for you, Rachel."

I quickly turned to face Bella and her cousin who quickly studied the three girls in front of them with extent curiosity.

"What are you waiting for then?" A long sigh fell from Bella's lips as she urged me with her hand.

"We'll distract Luke as best as we can." James shot us a wink and I barely had time to smile graciously before I was pulled away.

Little conversation was made in the short trip. One thing that I was sure of was the constant stares that I received from all the girls. Almost as if they were individually preparing themselves for something.

At last, we had arrived. Without much thought, the door of the small building was slammed open.

"Momo!" The same sweet lady as I had met that day was seated on a dull colored chair. There was prominent evidence of sorrowing covering her features.

"Rachel..." She spoke as if she was unable to talk, "Rachel.... he- this is for you."

She reached her hand across and with great care she handed me a folded piece of paper.

I knew better than to read it in front of her, especially in the state that she was in. As I excused  myself along with Shade, Avy and Lottes, she offered a thankful smile.

Once outside, I turned the paper in my hand and slowly opened it. I was almost afraid that it would disappear. Yet the words written inside were more than enough to make me think no less.

I'm sorry. I love you, Rachel.

- Harry

Instead of the words being comforting, they made my heart ache for more. What was he sorry about?

Avy looked at me with confusion and I offered her the letter and she quietly read it out loud. As soon as they heard the words their faces mirrored my own disapointed one.

"What exactly is her sorry about?! That bastard can't just expect us to know where he is." Shade's genuine anger shocked me, but even more so the look of sympathy that she offered me.

Yet just when we thought the situation couldn't get worse, we heard a long, high sigh nearby.

A very satisfied looking Cashmere joined us at the front of Momo's house.

"What are you doing here?" Lotte asked her rudely, yet completely distracted by the letter.

"I simply wanted to offer my apologies to Rachel." She glanced at me from the corner of her eye and gave me somewhat of a pitiful smile, "After all, it looks like Harry has made his choice. Very shocking, I guess it wasn't you after all."

"What do you know?" Shade's voice was distant and cold, her eyes held a threat.

"Is it not obvious?" Cashmere questioned as she picked a small, white flower from the ground, "Rachel couldn't make up her mind, after all, her type of social circles would never approve of Harry. And so.." She ripped all the petals from the flower in one quick movement and continued. "... Harry made the choice for her."

My heart stopped at the possibility that this was true.

"Harry wouldn't do that... He wouldn't do that!" Said Avy trying to reassure me. Sadly, my mind was coming up with all sorts of scenarios on its own.

"Rachel doesn't need this right now. Go back to where you came from." Lotte tried to remain structured and unaffected by what Cashmere had said. I was thankful that it worked for one of us, at the very least.

"I was only trying to help, but very well." Cashmere walked back to where she had come from, but stopped midway, "Simply putting it; Harry left to let you live a happy life with someone who isn't him."

My heart raced as I heard her words and for a moment my ears became numb. My limbs refused to move as my mind ran over everything that I had heard. Each thought brought doubts and I was finding it harder and harder to understand what Harry meant.

Had Harry left me?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry :') I know I haven't written a chapter in quite a long time but college happened and I just needed to get into it again. I am aware that this is short but it's late and today I had classes, but I'm hoping that I will get to write a lot more, unless my courses get too overwhelming. No matter what, I always find myself coming back to this story and wanting to write more. Thank you for all the support and I'm hoping that I can keep this story going for you guys. As always, thanks for reading xo
