Forbidden ~ Harry Styles ~ (On Hold)

* Harry is not famous in this story *

Many say how there are two kinds of people in this world.

In Pax town there certainly are two kinds of very different people. I never really understood the name of our little town, after all "pax" means peaceful in latin, but believe me, we're anything but.

From a very young age I've been told to stay away from them. You may call them The Rebels, but out here everyone calls them the lower class, the scums, the bastards.

We are very different from them, like North and South, hot and cold; we're complete opposites. Besides the constant rumours about them going around, I can't help but think what it would be like to be them for a day....

My father would never allow it. He'd never let his only daughter do anything close to danger.
Apart from all the warnings, there's always one of the rebels who catches my eye.

I believe his name is Harry, Harry Styles.

7. Odd one out

I knew this wasn't a good idea.

Why did I ever suggest this?

We have been walking around town for only a couple of minutes.

But that is not the negative part at all.

The bad part is having Belle whining about walking too much and arguing with James about grass.

Yes, you heard me right; grass.

Apart from all this, I couldn't help but find this amusingly funny.

Never have I seen two souls argue more than these two together.

Belle was talking very loudly, a notch higher and it would be considered screaming.

James, on the other hand, sat there with a smug smile pasted on his face knowing that he could push Belle's buttons.

At this, Belle made an attempt to jump on James but that's when I decided it was a good time to intervene.

I grabbed Belle's arm and pulled her back a little.

"Belle, calm down. It was just a small argument, you don't need to get violent about it."

Usually someone would apologize for these actions, but not Belle.

I got the answer that I had expected.

A snort.

"Oh, Rachel. You're so innocent. I grew up with this boy and know that he is an expert at blaming others for his mistakes-"

She continued to point at James while complaining about his lack of hygiene.

"Dear cousin. I know you don't mean those things, after all if anyone should be complaining is Rachel. She has to listen to your whining all day long."

It only took those sentences from James' mouth to get them starting again.

This time however, I openly laughed at their behaviour.

I stood back a few steps and continued to listen to their bickering.

I shook my head lightly with a small smile plastered on my face.

Now to wait until these two finish arguing. I knew that no amount of pleading from me would make them stop.

I was silently lost in thoughts when I felt pressure on my hand and with a tug I was pulled between two buildings.

I tried to scream but someone held their hand across my lips.

They pressed me back against their chest effortlessly.

I tried to push the person away and mumble some kind of scream.

"Rachel, don't be scared."

I knew that voice.

Deep and silky yet husky.

The hand was dropped from my mouth and I was turned around.

Immediately, I made contact with those beautiful green eyes.

That is until I realized how bad he had scared me.

"Harry, why do you love to scare me so much?"

I didn't scream in fear of someone hearing us. I simply crossed my arms to make a point.

"I'm sorry. I promise not to scare you next time."

He shot me a sheepish smile and I couldn't stop my lips from twitching upwards.

"Alright, so what did you want to tell me? You must hurry up. Belle and James will soon finish their bickering."

Harry chuckled at this but nodded understandingly.

"I wanted to invite you to a party tonight. No one you know will be there but I can introduce you to some people if you like."

I shot Harry a nervous glance after hearing this.

A party full of rebels? They would probably all hate me. That could not end right.

"I don't know, Harry. What if-"

I was cut off before I could continue.

"No one will hurt you. Rebels only, and a rebel never goes telling secrets. They will love you, I promise."

He smiled at the end of his sentence and after a few seconds I smiled back.

"Are you sure they'll love me?"

My tone was laced with humour and sarcasm.

At my words, Harry lifted his hand to my face and lightly stroked my cheek.

"Yes. Just like I do."

With that he leaned down and captured my lips with his.

I responded almost immediately, enjoying the warmth that his lips brought.

The kiss was sweet and perfect.

Not rough, but filled with passion.

"Rachel, where are you?"

We pulled apart at the sound of Belle's voice.

"I need to go."

Harry nodded, and backed away from me.

"I really hope to see you tonight, Rachel."

I smiled at him, but a thought quickly popped into my head.

"What's appropriate to wear to this party?"

It sounds like a weird question to ask but I didn't want to be the odd one out.

Harry only chuckled at my question before actually answering it.

"Wear whatever you want. I'm sure you look great in anything."

With a final wink he left.

I shook my head at his usual comments and headed back out to where Belle and James were standing.

My smile was still wide as ever and I felt somewhat excited.

James finally seemed to notice my presence because he came running to me and placed his arm around me.

"Hello my lovely friend. We decided, since we can't seem to agree on anything, that you will tell us who is right and who is wrong."

He shot me a smile as he finished his sentence and urged me to make my choice.

"Be quiet. Rachel would pick me over you any day."

I watched as Belle came up to us and pushed James off me.

James fell to the ground but he was up a few seconds later.

He dusted himself off and walked ahead of us, snorting one word.

Belle and I laughed at this, but quickly tried to catch up to him.

If only he understood how much more complicated men are.
