Forbidden ~ Harry Styles ~ (On Hold)

* Harry is not famous in this story *

Many say how there are two kinds of people in this world.

In Pax town there certainly are two kinds of very different people. I never really understood the name of our little town, after all "pax" means peaceful in latin, but believe me, we're anything but.

From a very young age I've been told to stay away from them. You may call them The Rebels, but out here everyone calls them the lower class, the scums, the bastards.

We are very different from them, like North and South, hot and cold; we're complete opposites. Besides the constant rumours about them going around, I can't help but think what it would be like to be them for a day....

My father would never allow it. He'd never let his only daughter do anything close to danger.
Apart from all the warnings, there's always one of the rebels who catches my eye.

I believe his name is Harry, Harry Styles.

9. First Impressions

After a lot of weaving through what looked like secret passages in between tall buildings, we finally walked out into a clear street.

I had almost gotten lost too many times, and had it not been for Harry's hand I would probably be wandering alone at this hour of the night.

My feet were starting to ache and the butterflies in my stomach increased with each step we took.

Apart from everything I was feeling, I stayed quiet and held my thoughts for as long as I could.   Not much talk was needed as Harry kept making contact with my skin.

Either with the simple stroke of a finger or by claiming my hand, it would always be there.

Just as the moment came when I decided to say something, he quickly subsided my question with an answer.

"Don't worry we'll be there soon. Nervous are we?" He looked very smug, and the darkness of the night only helped to enhance his devilishly cheeky features.

"Perhaps just a little. Although I am more tired than nervous." I used the term tired very lightly as I did not want to seem whiny. Belle always said, a good man never wants a whiny woman.

I followed her advice as best as I could, after all up to a certain point she was my only womanly figure to follow.

"Would you rather I carry you? I have to admit, after the episode earlier I wouldn't mind at all." Taking in his sudden change of mood, I decided to smartly reject the offer and walk faster.

He chuckled lowly but charming.

Harry is rather good at estimating time because only minutes later we arrived.

The grass was mostly flat in this area, but beautifully packed with little cottages adorned with lights and lanterns of various colours.

People danced, talked or laughed and I couldn't help but admire it.

This is the most vulnerable I've ever seen any 'rebel' act.

My worst fear came to mind at that moment. It was something that my imagination had created; I walked closer and the music turned off and all eyes were glued to me, full of judgement.

But coming back to reality, I realized that nothing seemed abnormal. They still payed no attention to me and I was glad for it.

"C'mon, I'll introduce you to some people."

His strong hand took a hold of mine and dragged me along with him.

I found that a smile had absentmindedly made its way to my lips.

The scent of family and culture could be felt in the air.

I looked around at the different people, some children smiled and waved while younger ones hid behind their mothers in shyness.

As I faced the direction in which we were walking, I notice a large group of people joking loudly or at least louder than anyone else around them.

They looked friendly enough, and there was no doubt that they were friends of Harry.

As soon as we were close enough, the group turned to look at us and immediately broke out to cheers.

"Harry, my boy!" A rather attractive man spoke. By his accent, I could tell that he spoke some French.

"Siobhan, you know I'm only two years younger than you, no need to call me boy."

Telling that they were close friends was very easy judging by their closeness.

Suddenly Siobhan looked over at me and smiled, I offered one back and tried to add extra charisma.

"So who's the pretty, lady?" My cheeks heated at the sentence and everyone seem to find my reaction rather hilarious.

"Embarrassing as always, I see. This is Rachel and-" Harry was quickly cut off before he could continue the introduction.

"Ohh, so this is why you've been so distracted lately... Or at least that's what you parents say. Bonjour Mademoiselle, no wonder that Harry has the eyes for you, quite a sight." My eyes widened at his open expression of fondness.

He laughed at this and quickly fixed the moment with a pearly smile.   Harry huffed at him, sounding a little annoyed.

"Thank you for that, friend. If you don't mind, I'll go introduce her to the girls now."

Siobhan's eyes glistened with playfulness and satisfaction at his achievement in making Harry annoyed.

"Of course. Very nice to meet you and don't you worry Harry, I'll keep away."

Harry broke out a smile and they laughed together.

The sound was almost like a short harmony.

His hand was placed on the very tip of my hip and he guided me deeper into the group.

"Don't worry, he's a good guy. He won't do anything to you, and I get a feeling that he already likes you." I felt Harry's breath hit my neck as he whispered in my ear during our walk through the people.

I could only smile at the simple thought of a rebel accepting me as a friend.

But arriving to our destination brought new doubts as I gazed at the clear view.

Leather jackets.   Ruffled dresses.

Perfect red lipstick of different shades.

Hopefully the girls here are as friendly as Siobhan turned out to be.

Just as I prepared my excuse to not go over to the little group, Harry was guiding me there by pulling on my hand.

Oh goodness.
