Three Words

Jordan Stewart, a junior in Alburry Hills High School, is not book smart nor is she street smart. She is just a regular girl with average grades and a decent piece of mind. The only thing in her way is the leather jacket and the black sun glasses, followed by the facial appearance of black hair and gorgeous hazel brown eyes.

3. The Drive To The Movies

After school, I rushed out and over to where my locker sat and remembered I came here with Jesse in her car. I'm more into walking to her house than driving there with her. Besides, I have to get home and check on Steven before anything else happens. I texted Jesse the plans and opened up my locker, reveling a note on the little corner of the top door. I slowly grabbed it and looked around. Only a little crowd remained next to Stacy's locker. I could hear them whispering and giggling about things, but I let it slip. I was too tired to listen along. That's when I closed the locker and walked out of the building. I breathed in the fresh air and breathed out the school oxygen. I really needed this walk after a hard first day. I gazed into the clouds, remembering how simple life was when I was younger. You may think that I was one of those people who cries because someone called me a mean name or pulled a chair away from me. To be honest, that's not who I am. I don't really get effected when people bully me. Well, I might react to it negatively, but I won't shed a tear over my haters. I giggled as I thought of the words 'my haters.' It was true. My thoughts were interrupted when I turned the corner and saw those familiar eyes. I guess those eyes had always popped out most of the time I've seen him today. Maybe it was because he hasn't been bullying me like usual. Maybe this year was different. I stopped in my path, taking a deep breath. What was he doing on my street?

"Hey Stewart." he gave me a smirk, but I didn't really care. I just wanted to go home and grab a snack before heading to Jesse's. I ignored his little comment and passed him down to my house. When I got to my steps, I felt a hand on my wrist.

"What?" I yanked away, looking at Zayn.

"We have to straighten things out."

"You mean the schedule?"

"What?" I sighed and stepped away from the steps and closer to him.

"The schedule. You know, for the days of the week that both you and Stacy will bully me. Do you have the first two days and she has the next two? Is Friday the day you both bully me on?" I blurted out, unaware of what I just said. I have never felt so angry in my life. His face dimmed down as he looked around.

"..No." he mumbled, grabbing my wrist a bit harder this time. He didn't loose his grip.

"Look, can't you just leave me alone?" I asked him. He shook his head.

"I need you to shut up and let me talk." and with that, I did shut up. I stared at him. He gave out a sigh and he let go of me. His bottom sat on the step as I stood there.

"That girl I was talking to on the phone. We aren't dating." he told me. I let out a fake laugh, looking into his eyes. He rolled them.

"Look. It's complicated. Just stop butting in." I heard him mumbled. I gave him a furious look.

"You think I'm butting in? You walked up to me in the first place!" I shouted in a low tone. He has never seen me this angry before, and I was a bit scared of what he was going to do. Instead of him pushing me over like I usually do when I shout, he just stood up and looked at me.

"I know." is all he said. His eyes stayed away from mine at all times. His breathe had slowed and the faint sigh had formed goose bumps on my skin. He was in a different mood. A new mood, actually. That is what scared me, what formed the goose bumps.

"Are you okay?" I asked him, very curious. His eyes gazed away and his face went from blank to angry in a single heartbeat. His fists clench together and his lips close together. He then began to walk away, but I grabbed onto his arm. He turned quickly and pushed me down. I lost my balance and my legs collapsed. I just looked up at him. His eyes were dark now. Dark and evil like usual. Yep, he hasn't changed a bit. I slowly helped myself up and turned away to see Stacy clapping in the background.

"Awe, babe! I hadn't even came yet." she smirked, glancing over to me after giving cheerful eyes at Zayn. She stepped closer to me and stared into my eyes.

"I don't see why you still live here. After all you did to that poor neighbor boy..."

"He walked out on me, bitch." I heard myself fight back. She giggled and played with my hair.

"Yeah, right after you gave him that STD." she said aloud. My eyes widen.

"I did not! If it was anyone, it was y-" before I could finish, I felt Stacy's hands pull my hair, knocking me on the ground beside her.

"I don't know what you're talking about. He's the one who told me the truth." she mumbled, walking over to Zayn. Zayn's face wasn't angry anymore. Just a bit relaxed with a hint of confusion. He probably was wondering how come he didn't think of pulling my hair. I quickly got up and rushed inside, throwing my bag on the ground. Steven looked over at me with a shy smile.

"You okay, Din?" he asked me. Yes, my nick name is Din. Well, only for him. And I was thankful that no one knew about it.

"Never grow up." I mumbled, walking up the stairs. So basically, that was the first day. You now know what happened during freshmen year. Well, the whole story is crazy.

I use to have a neighbor who was my best friend. His name was Eric. He was friendly and friends with everyone. Even Stacy. He moved during the freshmen year and we instantly befriended each other. Sadly, if he wasn't with me, he'd be with Stacy and her crew. One day, him and I began getting closer until one day we kissed. Yes, my first kiss with someone who I thought was special. Except he wasn't special. One night, without me knowing, Stacy and Eric and planned everything. The first date, the first kiss, the first everything. Except that special thing a girl shouldn't loose. Thankfully. The night Eric and I decided to 'just stay friends' according to him, he tweeted and posted all over facebook, twitter, and myspace, that I gave him an STD. It was the same night I had left for camp. When I came home, everyone was talking about it. I was ruined, and still am. No one will talk to me except for Jesse, Liam, and Louis. They are my best friends and I love them dearly.

My thoughts were interrupted by the bedroom door being knocked on.

"Come in." I said, waiting for someone to enter. It was Jesse. What was she doing here? I thought I was going to meet her at her house.

"Hey girl." she mumbled, carrying her bag. It seemed a bit more packed than usual.

"Hey. Is everything alright?" I asked her. She nodded, looking into my eyes.

"I wasn't sure what was taking so long over here."

"I bumped into Zayn and Stacy on my way." I told her, shrugging it off as if it was no big deal. It really wasn't to be honest. Not anymore, anyway.

"Ew, they're so annoying. They couldn't keep their hands off each other in biology." she told me, grabbing her homework out. I rolled my eyes, getting mine out as well. It would be good to get all my homework out and done before anything else. We chatted a bit more about Zayn and Stacy while doing homework until everything was done. Every little problem, page, and notes sheet was written and finished. I put everything and looked on my facebook. I got a message notification... from Zayn. I groaned and opened it.

Zayn Malik:
Text me:
(phone number) We need to talk...

I rolled my eyes and replied.

Jordan Stewart:
Why would I text you?

I waited for him to reply, but he never did. Jesse looked over and smiled.

"You okay?" She asked me. I nodded, looking back at my phone.

"Maybe we should ask Liam and Louis if they want to go to the movies?" I suggested. Jesse nodded and grabbed her phone out. I again checked my phone and noticed that Zayn had replied.

Zayn Malik:
Fine, I'll just come over.

I rolled my eyes and entered his number into my phone. When I did, I felt this weird feeling that something bad was going to happen. I didn't say anything to Jesse about it. I was too nervous that she'd ask why we're talking in the first place and I can't tell her the story. I then clicked on a new message and texted him. "Hey. It's Jordan." I sent him. I went to the mirror and fixed my hair a tad.

"Okay, Liam is on his way. I'll text Louis and we can all go." she told me. I nodded, gazing into my bright blue eyes. Why was Zayn even talking to me. He is a so called 'bad boy' and besides, he's the guy who's bullied me for my whole sophomore year. I heard my phone buzz, reveling Zayn's name on my screen. "See, I knew you'd reply. xxx" Zayn sent. I looked around, seeing Jesse looking at me with a curiosity facial feature.

"What is it?" she asked me. I sat down on the bed and covered my face in the pillow.

"Nothing. Just a bit stressed." I mumbled into the pillow. I heard Jesse clear her throat.

"Louis' on his way as well." Jesse told me. I nodded, watching the door had opened and reveling Liam. His hair was the same Bieber hair as usual, but with a purple and yellow hat with the sticker still on it. Jesse looked at him in awe, smiling at his eyes. He looked at her with the same smile, sitting beside her on the floor. I laid on my back and relaxed my eyes until I heard the door open ten minutes later, showing a lovely Louis.

"Hey Lou. Mind telling us why you weren't at school?" Liam asked, giving Jesse a wink. Lou shook his head in disappointment and in surprise.

"I heard Stacy came back. Nobody has time for her bullshit." I heard Louis joked.

"I know. I had dealt with it all day." I told him. He gave me a pat on the back and a reassuring smile to match with it.

"Let's head to the movies?" I asked them. They all nodded and pilled out and into the driveway. I glanced around to see no one in sight. Just us. That made me feel a bit better until I felt an arm again on my wrist. I turned around and noticed Zayn staring at me.

"What do you want now?" I mumbled.

"I kind of need your help." he whispered, pulling me away from the others.

"Why do you need my help?" I asked him.

"Can you stop with the questions?" he answered simply. I rolled my eyes, waiting for him to continue.

"I kind of need you to text the one 'side girl' and tell her that you're Stacy. Tell her to leave me alone." he mumbled. My eyebrows squinted down with curiousity.

"Why me?" I asked him. He gave me the are-you-kidding-me look.

"Stacy can't know that I had a side girl. Beside, she really wasn't for the side. She was my ex, wait. I'm not going to explain this to you." he snapped, grabbing my phone.

"Give me my phone, I'm going to be late to the movies." I assured him, grabbing my phone back. Zayn leaned over to the car.

"I'll be dropping Jordan off in a few minutes. I have an English question for her." Zayn smirked, walking me to the steps. Jesse shrugged and started the car.

"You sure, Jordan? she asked me, looking in my eyes. She knows how much I hate Zayn but I was sure about this.

"Yes, I'll be there soon." I sighed, watching them drive away quickly. Zayn smirked and grabbed my phone, entering the girl's number.

"There, text her." Zayn mumbled, handing me the phone. I slowly breathed in and typed this girl a long and rude paragraph. It read: "This is Stacy, Zayn's girlfriend, and you need to back off. You have no right talking to him and you sure don't own him. Maybe close your legs and you can at least find a bit of respect in yourself." Obviously, I showed Zayn the message, and it left him laughing hysterically.

"Send it." he smiled, looking at the phone. I quickly pressed the send button and smiled. He got up quickly and walked back to the sidewalk. He began to walk down the road, but then stopped to look at me.

"Aren't you coming?' I then remembered that he was dropping me off to the movies. I caught up with him and walked down the road as he looked at his feet the whole time.

"What if she texts back during the movie?" I asked him. He shook his head.

"Don't text back." he mumbled. It was a bit quiet until he cleared his throat. "Thanks.."

"Whoa, you're actually thanking me." i acted surprised, watching his eyes raise up to mine.  He just shook his head and kept walking.

"Why have you been acting weird?" I asked. His eyes didn't move from the distance. He seemed deep in thought, though. I was just curious on the question and I could tell he didn't have an answer.

"You usually bully me hard. Today, you just haven't really done much."

"Do you want me to bully you hard?" he asked, very amused. I shook my head, staring out into the distance. He sighed to himself.

"I guess Stacy's done so much that I've just took a break." is all he gave me. I rolled my eyes, like usual, and followed him into this alley way. I felt a little conscious as we made our way down the path. I didn't trust him in alley ways, but for some reason, nothing really happen. Well, nothing did happen. No talking, no bullying, nothing. When we made our way back out, he headed straight to this warming house.

"Ready to go?" he asked, unlocking the passenger door. He opened it and surprisingly helped me inside. He let me close the door as he rushed over to the drivers side where he hopped in and started the car. His vehicle drove out and into the road, slowly strolling down the street.

"What do you even see in Stacy?" I asked him, breaking the silence. He chuckled and made a dirty face.

"She's hot. Who wouldn't want to tap that?" he replied, still concentrating on the path. I didn't reply to his comment. I didn't think it was funny. She wasn't anything but a bitch and a slut. To be honest, anyway. That's who she's always been.

"That's it?" I asked, by mistake.

"She's hot, she has a hot body, and she's popular." he explained. I shook my head in disappointment, once again.

"If you think so, Zayn."

"She is."

"Her personality is what makes her beauty die out. She's nothing but dirt to me." i suddenly replied back. What was coming over me? I don't talk bad about people. I guess this year I'm just defending myself. Zayn chuckled once more.

"There isn't any girl out there with a beautiful face and a great personality." he told me, looking at the rear-view mirror. I shrugged, looking out the window.

"That doesn't matter. As long as you find someone who you truly feel right with." I mumbled, resting my arm on the door. The window all the way pulled down and my hair flying everywhere. I just wanted to get to the movies with my friends. I sighed to myself, i really was hating this. It wasn't as bad, though. He was actually being a bit nice. I bet this is part of Stacy's plan. As we got into the parking lot for the movies, he quickly got out and rushed over to my door, opening it for me. I was a bit surprised, but I still had Stacy's plan on my mind.

"Have fun at the movies." Zayn said, closing the passenger door. His eyes looking into mine. He didn't seem to have dark eyes. Just the hazel ones.

"You don't mean that." I mumbled, walking away. I looked back to see Zayn waving goodbye at me, walking to the driver's side. I couldn't believe all that was happening. Whatever this plan was, Stacy totally got Zayn hooked up in it good.
