Don't Let Me Go

Raelynn has to move halfway across the world for her fathers job, San Diego is all she's ever known. Will meeting a special someone turn a bad situation around?

8. Interview Day

Before I went to bed I texted Harry and asked him what I should wear and when he would pick me up and everything. After a few minutes of waiting he texted back telling me to where whatever I wanted and that he'd be there at 10 tomorrow morning. Looking at my clock seeing it was 3 AM I assumed I should probably get some sleep.
It was 3:30 and I couldn't go to sleep. Scrolling through Instagram comments of Lou and El and how harsh some were I wasn't sure if I was ready to have Raelynn in that position. I didn't think I would ever want her to be vulnerable to all the hate, but we had to go out in public sometime. I figured it wasn't worth all the worrying so I decided to get some sleep.
I woke up the next morning and took a quick shower before I went to my drawers and looked at all the clothes in front of me seeing absolutely nothing to wear. I held up a stripe strapless dress to me in the mirror but it was too fancy so I put it back in the pile. I looked back at myself in the mirror and turned sideways. I sucked in my stomach and let it out. Today was one of those ugly days. I went to my t shirts and just decided to wear a shirt from some restaurant    a pair of short shorts and my converse. I french braided my hair back and put on a little mascara and waited for Harry to get here. In about 10 minutes I heard a knock on the door and saw Harry standing there smiling. "Hii" he was so cute with those dimples. "Hey" I shut the door and walked to his car. I should've checked the weather before I got dressed. The cold London breeze bit at my exposed legs. Harry turned around and saw me rubbing my arms trying to bring warmth to them. "Do you want a sweatshirt, I have one?" Harry asked. "Um yeah sure" he went to the back door and handed me one. I slipped it on and it fell to my mid thighs, it was so big on me. I brought the sleeves up to my nose and inhaled his cologne while Harry opened my door. I got in and buckled my seatbelt while he got in on his side. I watched him buckle up and start the car. "Thanks for the sweatshirt" he looked over and smiled "No problem" I smiled and rested my hand on the console between us. He removed one of his from the wheel and intertwined our fingers. My stomach got butterflies and I couldn't remove the smile that made its way to my face.
