1. Chapter 1

  Grace's P.O.V

The first day was always the worst day. I didn't know anyone, I didn't know anything. My brother just expected that I would be fine, I wasn't. He ditched me for his no good new friends.

"Are you Grace?" a girl behind me asked.

"Yeah, and you are?" I asked scanning down her. This girl was a perky golden haired blond. She had long jeans, and a baggy sweater. Also, you couldn't forget the boy hanging by her side.

"Oh! Sorry! I'm Maya and this is my boyfriend, Dylan!" she squeaked.

"So what meaning has this greeting?" I asked awkwardly. I hated being the new kid. This was my first time actually. I've moved from great lengths, I'm originally a New Yorker.

"Well, Maya over here thought that we should introduce you around the school to new things happning, and I agreed," Dylan answered.

"Well, okay then," I said less eager than usual.

"Oh, first rule, stay away from Katie over there, she's no good," Dylan said gesturing behind me. The girl had brown hair with blond highlights surrounding the brown making her more of a blond completely.

"Yeah, she's a bitch. You say one thing to her and she stoops down so many levels that she doesn't even make sense after a while," Maya scoffed.

"Alright, I know who to cross off my list," I said walking slightly forward indicating I was uncomfortable.

"Well, come on," Maya said linking my arm. She guided me throughout the halls and started rambling on about the reputations people had claimed and about the students sexuality. All thing's I could've learned with time. "And after the jocks, we meet, the bad boys, but no one outside of their group talks to them," Maya said. We walked across a group of five. They all had different looks but were basically the same. They all seemed to wear completely black and well, they all had tattoos and serious looks on their faces. "The one with the quiff that's kinda to the side is Louis, the one with the straight quiff is Zayn, the blond is Niall, the basically hair buzzed one is Liam, and the curly haired one is Harry," as soon as Maya spoke Harry's name, he shot his head to our direction, and he scowled at Maya but scanned me.

"That's weird," Dylan said as my eyes locked Harry's. It only took a moment for Maya to tug me away leaving me with the burning sensation of Harry's eyes on my body.

"That was new, he doesn't even look at Katie like that," Maya shrugged. I put on a strange face showing I was confused. "Katie is his slut girlfriend," Maya said with almost a gagging sound in her voice.

"Oh, well maybe I have a loose thread or something," I said waving off her comment.

"No, I don't see one," Maya said checking down through my denim jacket and scanning down my blue skinny jeans. "Either way, there's a good chance Harry might have the hot's for you, I can already see you would be a step up from Katie," Maya scoffed.

"I'm just here to focus on my grades, nothing more nothing less," I said.

"It's funny how you think he'll let you win," Maya laughed. "But then again, you are the first new kid we've had here in 6 years, no one comes to this town, and I would recommend getting as far away from Harry as possible. No one knows him, and every one is too afraid to find out," Maya warned.

"Now you're just scaring her," Dylan said. I didn't reply I just began walking to class. As class started I just sat there thinking. I twiddled my thumbs together as boredom struck. This wasn't any fun whatsoever, I guess something's don't change from any schools. As I copied down a few notes the big wooden door creaked open.

"I see you have decided to join the class, Mr. Styles," the teacher said.

"Yes, I did," Harry said walking to take a seat.

"Well other than that, I have things to teach the students who actually care about getting an education," the teacher said again.

"Well, get on with it," Harry said gesturing with his hands. The teacher just completely avoided him and continued with the lesson he needed.

"Alright, for this terms project I've put you with a partner, you'll be presenting a presentation on past history, I'm not picking the historical event but I expect it to be a good presentation. This will count for half of your grade," the teachers name was Mr. Brittle. Mr. Brittle took a few minutes to look at the sheet in his hand. "Maya and Dylan, Kathy and Megan, Lana and Tom, our new student Grace and...Harry," my heart stopped right in the middle of my chest. I looked behind me to see Harry snarling. I'm guessing he wasn't to happy either.

 **After school**

I walked back to my new house alone. I wasn't to happy that I was paired up with Harry, but there isn't much I can do. It's not all about him either, I like to be independent, so I'm not so happy I made more friends than I expected today. Well, there isn't much of anything I can do.
