Young Laura Croiden, always thought her life was boring, and nothing fun or interesting ever happened. Then one day Laura receives two tickets, and two backstage passes from a relative for her and a friend to attend their idol's show...the great psychic...Madame Vintage. The thing is WHO is the relative whom sent these tickets, how did she know that Laura idolized Madame Vintage?, is there something Laura didn't know about Madame Vintage and herself?

3. The Surprise

'Right, close your eyes and hold both hands out in front of you' , I did as she asked, wondering exactly what she was giving me. I heard a small rummage, as if she were looking for it, and then I felt something land on the palm of my hand. 'Open your eyes.... NOW!' she had great excitement in her voice, I was also excited, I forced both my eyes open.

There was a white envelope, a little bent at the corners, it was clearly sent in the post, it had a stamp and our address on it. I turned it over, watching my mum's eyes light up with excitement as I slowly re-opened the seal. I put my hand into the envelope feeling for the letter, or whatever it was. I got grip of a letter and two cardboard rectangles, I slid them out of the envelope carefully, being sure not to let anything rip.

I placed both the envelope and letter down, I couldn't be bothered reading a letter, plus I was curious as to what the two rectangular things were. They appeared to be tickets, I turned them over to see what it was for, and there in bold writing it read Madame Vintage Live. I had heard that name before, Madame Vintage, I looked quizzically at the two tickets and then realization struck me, Madame Vintage was that really famous psychic lady that EVERYONE talked about, and she was doing a show, that my mum got tickets too.

I looked at my mum in disbelief, then to the tickets, then back to mum, 'OH MY GOD!, are these for real?' I was in utter shock and disbelief, she was my idol, her powers were amazing and she was just amazing. My mum looked at me knowing how much these tickets meant to me, she nodded and said 'Yes, a relative sent them, knowing how much you liked her, the tickets are for you and a friend and the show is on Saturday night'. OH MY GOD, she was for real, but what relative sent them? we only kept close with my  grandparents on my mum and dad's side so who?

'Also I did withhold a little thing that came with it...' she reached in to her pocket and pulled out another two rectangular pieces of card, but these were like a pass you would get for work or something, what were they? 'These are your backstage passes to meet Madame Vintage and get a reading from her' I opened my mouth in both shock and disbelief at the fact I wasn't just going to SEE the most famous psychic, I was also going to MEET HER!
