2. Home

The home bell rang, and literally hundreds of thousands of children fled, trying to escape from what seemed like prison. I was desperate to get home, this morning -before school- my mum told me that she has a 'surprise' for me once I get home. I absolutely LOVED surprises, especially if I had been told about them, to build up all the suspense, all until I get home, so I was sitting all day imagining what it could be: new clothes?, latest iPad?, new phone? Whatever it was, I was curious.

I finally reached the dump that I called home. Yet, we were going to move, but it all fell through and we haven't found anywhere since.

'Mum! I'm home' I never let her know WHEN I was home, normally I would just race up the stairs to the safe silence of my room. Where I would stay out of everyone's way and sight. I wasn't one of those sociable people, I am a more of a keep to myself kind of person.

'Oh, hi darling, how was school?' my mum sung from the kitchen, she was in a good mood, more than that a GREAT mood. I walked through into the kitchen as if it was just some normal day, as if nothing was going to happen, as if I had forgotten what she had told me earlier that morning.

'Uh yeah it was alright, you know same old boring school' I shrugged whilst saying this, I didn't really care about school, I just was soooo eager to see when she would reveal my surprise, and what it would be.

'Well... would you like your surprise now... or later?' she smirked at this, knowing I would beg her to give me it now, but maybe she doesn't know me as well as she thought? Maybe I could say later and mess with her a bit? Oh screw it I've been waiting all day for this NO WAY was I waiting another while.

'Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that, I guess I'll take it now' I responded calmly although I was ready to burst with excitement inside.

'Of course you forgot, how SILLY of me to think YOU would ACTUALLY remember a surprise' my mum rolled her eyes emphasizing a few sarcastic words, oh well she really DID know me well.
