Young Laura Croiden, always thought her life was boring, and nothing fun or interesting ever happened. Then one day Laura receives two tickets, and two backstage passes from a relative for her and a friend to attend their idol's show...the great psychic...Madame Vintage. The thing is WHO is the relative whom sent these tickets, how did she know that Laura idolized Madame Vintage?, is there something Laura didn't know about Madame Vintage and herself?

11. Dad

'Dad?' I questioned inquisitively, staring ahead at the figure standing there.  The male figure standing before me had short, dirty blonde hair, bluey-green eyes, and a pearly white smile. He looked the spitting image of my dad, and if it were really him... why has he returned years later?

'Yes, sweetheart, it's me... your dad' he gave a small smile. I was in shock, it was him, my dad, he had came home.

'Wait, what made you come back?... how did you get in here?.... does mum know your back?' I had so many questions that rushed out in an instant, but I was desperately eager to know what he would answer, know if he was actually back, maybe if he was back to stay.

'Laura... I just wanted to see how you are, you've really grown. I miss you and your mother, I have ever since the day I left. No, your mother does not know I'm here, but truth is I've never left I have always watched over you both' he stepped forward and pulled me into a hug, salty tears rolling down my face, a few straying into my mouth. It wasn't a warm hug, it had a chill to it, as if I was walking over some dead person who I knew's grave. I know it didn't make sense, but I hadn't seen him since I was a toddler, I never knew when or why he left us... I had to tell mum he was back.

'I-I-I h-have to tell m-mum' I ran from his arms and out of my room, hearing a faint 'No Laura!' behind me, but I chose to ignore it. I ran into the kitchen to see only mum, aunt Claire must have left.

'M-Mum' I spoke with a slight stutter, I still couldn't believe it... my dad had came home.

'Laura, you really upset your aunt Claire, she told me to tell you she'll be back tomorrow to continue, hoping you will have calmed down and realized you do possess a gift' she had a stern manner about her, she sounded a little down.

'D-Dad...' but before I could continue my dad appeared behind my mum, and placed his finger to his lips, before vanishing just as quick as he had appeared. I was confused, possibly delusional, but what I had just saw... there were no word's to describe it.

'What about your dad?'  She had a slight hint of sadness in her voice, as if I had said something majorly bad, yet all I said was dad.

'Um... what made him leave us?' it was the only thing I could come up with on the spot, after experiencing what was like some illusion, my mum just turned and walked out of the kitchen, she was clearly not over him leaving us.  I turned and went to my room, assuming this whole thing was one big illusion.

When I reached my room, the cold chill it had previously... had lifted. I quickly closed the door, creating a small but chilling draft. I jumped at the sound of a text being received on my phone, it was Elizabeth, she was reminding me I was supposed to come over to her's for a movie tonight. I replied saying I was almost ready to leave, which I wasn't, but hey she can't see what I'm doing.

As I got ready the whole thing kept replaying in my mind, the chilling cold hug, the appearance and disappearance, the sudden change of temperature in my room. I really had no idea what had happened, if it even did happen... maybe it was all a dream.
