All It Took Was One Look

Vanessa is a seventeen year old average girl. She doesn't get noticed much in school, and is always out looking at the wonders of her home town London England. As she's wandering about late at night she runs into a guy that changes her life forever.

4. Going to the Hospital+ Parties?

"Hey wake up," I was shaking Skye as she was dead asleep.

"Mmmm," she groaned, as she turned the opposite way.

"Come on Skye, we need to get out of here," I bugged.

"What? Why?" she asked sitting up, looking at me.

"Well, we don't. But it's noon, and we should visit your dad."

"Uhh, Ally," she moaned, shoving her face in the pillow.

The same old Skye. No one can get her up for anything.

"Get up. I'm already dressed."

"Are you serious?" she asked, with her head rising.

"Yes! Come on!" I exclaimed.

"Well I don't have any clothes so I'll just go in what I'm wearing," she said.

She was wearing her soaking wet clothes that she was wearing yesterday.

"No, I'll get you some, just please wake up," I pleaded.

Skye slowly started getting up, as she was rubbing her head, and moaning.

"What are you wearing?" she asked.

I was wearing my navy blue thick long sleeved Love Pink shirt, with dark blue skinny jeans, and my black and white high top converse. Along with some eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, and lip gloss. My hair was on my right side as it usually is.

"Why don't you just look?" I asked.

"I'm tired though," she complained.

I got out a plain white sweater for Skye, and light blue skinny jeans.

"Here," I said, as I threw the clothing at her.

"Thanks," she said quietly, as she got up and went to change in the bathroom.

I was walking around my room, thinking about everything that just happened yesterday. I met Devon, which I have no idea how I feel about him yet. And I saw Skye again after years and years. Now I am visiting her dad in the hospital?

"Hey," she said as she entered my room again.

I looked to see how the outfit looked on her.

"Hi," I replied.

"Does it look okay?" she asked.

"Yes, it looks great," I said, as I grabbed my bag.

"Thanks," she mumbled, as she got her phone which she left on my desk.

"Sorry you don't have like any stuff," I said.

"It's okay," she chuckled.

"You drive because I don't know which hospital he's at."

We headed off to the garage and hopped into my car. I've never seen Skye drive before so I wonder if she was any good. She pulled out of the garage pretty smoothly. I hope it's smooth the whole way there.

She turned on the car radio as the song She Got a Boyfriend Now started blasting.

"Wow, this song is like three years old," Skye commented.

"With a girl with a smile that can take your breath away."

"Eh, I don't like this song," I scoffed.

"What? Why?" Skye asked confused.

It made me think of Devon, and I have no idea why.

"I don't know," I lied.

"So do you have a man?" Skye asked me.

It took me a minute for me to answer.

"No," I answered blandly.

"Aw..... are you seeing anybody?" she asked.

"Not really," I responded.

"You should come to this party with me this weekend. It's going to be sick," Skye said smirking, as she changed the subject completely.

"Party? You party?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah duh," Skye said like I was stupid.

Skye never seemed like a party animal. We were friends when were ten so I couldn't tell back then, but we went to the same high school, and I see her, and know about her personality and she didn't seem like that to me. I don't know why.

"Where is the party? And who is throwing it?" I asked.

"Bradford, and I don't know dude. Why does it matter? This one guy at this club invited me," Skye said.

I guess Skye didn't really give a shit about anything.

"Amber is going," Skye said as she made a very sharp turn, which made the car shake a little.

"Amber Tate?" I asked.

"Yeah, so it's probably going to be awesome."

Amber Tate is the most popular girl in our grade, and in the whole school.

"Wait how did you get into the club? You aren't old enough....."

"I'm just about eighteen."

"Well you're not yet. How do you get in?"

"I have my ways."

I rolled my eyes and leaned back on the leather car seat.

"You coming or not?"

"Skye, Bradford is three hours and something minutes away from London. It's not worth it."

Skye paused for a little bit before she said anything else.

"Ally have you ever been to a party before?" she asked, looking at me.

I actually haven't.

"Duh, of course," I sputtered.

"You're so lying."

"Well... Who cares? I don't want to go to some party where I won't know anybody, and also which is three hours away from here."

"You are so stuck up. Let loose."

"You are a party animal aren't you?"

"Yeah of course. I party all the time. Come on. Go with an old friend."

I didn't respond, as I looked down and thought about if I should go or not.
