15. Octavia's POV: Ray's Words of Wisdom

That fucking bitch. I mean really, who the hell are you trying to fool? Babe? You just met him less than a week ago, calm down. God Ariel is such a fucking slut. That's one thing I hated about her. She always claimed she wanted to take things slow and not move too fast yet she would always find herself in and out of a relationship within a month. But shit, I would actually be okay if she and Dylan broke up within a month. It would be plenty of time for me to work on my appearance and Dylan and I would still have enough time before he left to create and solidify our relationship. But I need to come up with some type of plan so that I can somehow spend more time with Dylan and he can get to know me.

"Uhh earth to Tavi.. is anyone in there?" Ray said while stepping in front of me to see if I was still functional.

"Oh yeah sorry" I said snapping out of my thoughts "I was deep in thought. Anyway what were you saying?"

"I was saying that Ariel is such a show out. She's only trying to make you jealous. That whole babe thing was nothing more than her just trying to prove that Dylan is hers. But I mean why would she feel the need to make you jealous if you're 'oh so ugly' and whatever? If you were really that 'ugly and unattractive' she wouldn't feel the need to make you jealous. She's intimidated by you Tavi! Don't you get it? She knows your weaknesses. She knows that you're insecure and she used her card as your 'best friend' to play on your insecurities. I saw the way Dylan looked at you just a minute ago.. He doesn't seem to think you're ugly."

Sometimes Ray could talk entirely too much about absolutely nothing and other times she could say a few of the wisest words ever. And this was one of those times. Rayleigh was absolutely right. Why would Ariel feel the need to try and make me jealous if she wasn't intimidated by me?

"Ray... You're right. She is jealous." I stated in awe with a grin on my face.
