I Wish

Kirsty Evans is your regular 16 year old girl - she loves music, especially the boyband One Direction. In fact, her dream is just to meet them for one day.
She has just finished her GCSEs and is now recording her own homemade CD of her singing songs she has written. She hides her talent from everyone - even her dad who is a manager for some of the biggest musicians in the music industry.
One day, when she is least expecting it, she walks into her house after a day out in town with her friend to find the biggest surprise ever sitting on her sofa.

18. Still Processing It

Harry's POV

The nurses gave Kirsty the 'all clear' but she still can't remember anything. She is coming home now and I'm really worried: the doctor said that if Kirsty's memory hasn't recovered in 3 days, we have to take her back as there is a chance she may have permanent brain damage. I hope she does remember, or I don't know what I'll do.

'So Kirsty, you ready to see your dad?' I say to her whilst driving out of the hospital car park in my Audi R8.

'Yeah, definitely! Wait, I need to go to the library to pick up my Biology revision books,' she said and I just sigh.

'Kirsty, you've done your GCSEs okay? You got all As and A*s so there's no need to worry,' I reply and concentrate on driving.

We sat in relative silence on the way back to the hotel and when we arrived, Kirsty was quick to hop out of the car and run straight into her dad's arms.

'Hi Daddy!' I heard her exclaim as I locked my car.

'Hello honey, how are you?' He replied.

'I'm good, no great actually. Harry Styles just took me home from the hospital,' she squealed.

'Kirsty, do you remember Jessica?'

'Uh yeah, she's my best friend - duh!' She said as Jessica appeared in the doorway. 'JESS!'

'Hey K-K, how are you feeling?' Jessica asked in a sympathetic voice.

'I'm great, look its Harry Styles!' She squealed again.

'I know Kirsty, I met him while you were in hospital. He told me what happened to you,' she sighed and led her up to our bedroom. After that, Mr Evans told me to stay down here and let her talk to Jess without any distractions. I miss the girl that I fell in love with the moment I saw her.

Jessica's POV

'Why are we here, I want to go home,' Kirsty says and I just shake my head. I miss the old girl that I first met when we both came into year 9. She seems to not remember anything at all, even her perfect scores in her GCSEs.

'Kirsty, you are on tour with One Direction. Your dad is their manager,' I say. 'I'll leave you to think for a bit. I'll be downstairs if you need anything.'

I walk down the stairs, thinking about my best friend. What had these boys done to her?
