When you die

"When you die, you either go to heaven or hell. it is our job to judge you"
Executed for accidental murder, Jenny finds out there is more to the afterlife than decaying in a wooden box. But, stained with the blood of her 'murder', she is forced to become a demon of hell. She now has two choices. To let the darkness into her heart or fight it.

7. End of my introduction to Hell

He laughed, and I had to pinch my stomach to stop my hands from clapping over my ears at the sound.

"I'm impressed" I could no longer hear any harshness in his voice after the horror of his indescribable laugh, but that only made it worse.

"Not many of the dead sent here realise" he continued "They expect the devil to be far worse and me to be only a small "horror" of my kingdom" For a second or two I could see the sadness on his face at the realisation of prejudice. It made me wonder just how evil he was.

"But then again humans know nothing of the afterlife, nothing of me, nothing of God, neither Heaven nor Hell" His voice was suddenly mocking and I could hear the harshness within it once more, making me shudder slightly as the horror came back.

His gaze flickered back to me and then I wanted to crawl into a corner and hide, anything to be away from him and the horror that was building up inside me because his eyes were fixed upon my trembling figure. Then he raised a single blistered, red and bronze-gold hand.

The wall behind his throne melted away into nothingness, revealing what must have been one of his higher servants. I glanced once at her and my fear had built up too far for me to stand it.

I screamed.
