As I looked down at the white stick in my hand, my world came crashing down around me. I stared hard at the blue plus indicating that I was pregnant and blinked, several times, as if trying to clear the hallucination in front of me. But somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew I wasn't hallucinating.

I really was pregnant.

In a daze, I walked back into my room and grabbed my cell phone, and with shaky fingers I dialed my best friends phone number. It rang a couple of times and each time I freaked out more and more, to the point where I was breathing so heavily and about to start hyperventalating.

"Hello?" Sasha's voice came over the reciever and I breathed an audible sigh of relief at hearing her voice.

"Sasha, I need you to come over to my house right now." I said, bracing myself for an argument about how it was too early to do anything but sleep, but to my surprise, it never came.

"I'll be right over." She said, surprising me. There must have been something in my voice that suggested it was really urgent and important. And it was.

"Thank you, Sasha." I said, breathing a sigh of relief. After telling Sasha goodbye, I hung up and went to sit on my bed until she got here. She better get here quickly.

Fifteen minutes later, the doorbell rang and I practically ran to the door. Throwing it open, I grabbed Sasha's arm and dragged her all the way upstairs and into my bedroom.

"What in the world has gotten you so wound up?" Sasha said, pulling her arm away from my tight grip.

"Um, well you see..." I sarted to explain, looking down at the floor as if suddenly interested by my bright pink nail polish.

"Holy crap!" Sasha said, causing my head to snap up.

Sasha was standing in the doorway to my bathroom that was connected to my room and in her hand was the pregnancy test.

"Yeah. That's what I was trying to tell you." I said, sitting down on the edge of my bed and putting my head in my hands. A couple seconds later, I felt the bed dip and an arm slip around my shoulders.

"What are you gonna do?" Sasha asked quietly.

"I don't know. I'll have to tell my parents for sure." I said in a quiet mumble. They were going to be so angry and disappointed in me and I didn't know if I could handle that.

"Yeah, that's a given. Who is the baby daddy?" She asked and as soon as the words left her lips, my cell phone started to ring and while checking the caller ID, my stomach dropped.

"Liam Payne." I told her and that's when I knew what I had to do.

As I walked out of my house, I thought about my decision. Liam and I had been best friends since I could remeber. We stood up for each other and we were always there if the other one needed comfort or help.

For Liam it had always been bullies that made his life horrible, but I would always be there to help and to comfort him. He was always there for me too when I had to deal with those mean girls that thought they owned the place and lived by putting other people down. But when things got to be too much, we both had the same outlet: Music.

All through out our childhood, Liam and I would always be singing. Whether it was at a school talent show or a karoke night, we always did it. We also sang together sometimes but that didn't occur until we went to middle school.

Once we reached high school, Liam and I had been singing for at least ten solid years. By this time I had learned how to play guitar and piano, so I was pretty musical. It was a huge part of my life, so I decided that I would audition for the X Factor and attempt to make a career out of it. And so did Liam.

Through out the years, we developed feelings for each other, so eventually we started dating and that led to where I am right now. Standing in a park in Wolverhampton, about to say goodbye to the boy I loved more than anything. You may be wondering why I would have to say goodbye to him just because I was pregnant with his kid, but it's quite simple: Liam had plans. He had huge dreams and I didn't want to take that away from him. I loved him too much to do that, so I had to break things off. Not only was I breaking up with him, but I was also moving...To America. Yeah, I know it's a little dramatic but my dad had gotten a promotion and that included moving to America. When I found out, I immediately asked if Sasha could come too. Why ask if Sasha could go? Well, for one she was my best girl friend and I needed the support, but her parents were also abusive to her and I would not let her put up with that anymore. So in the end, she was moving with us.

And that brings us to now. I was standing in front of Liam, who had the most pained expression on his face that I had ever seen. It was heartbreaking and I had the hardest time explaining it to him. I told him that we had to break up. I told him that I didn't want him to have to deal with the stress of a long distance relationship. Did I tell him I was pregnant? No. I didn't want him to know about it. Ever. I also told him I loved him and that I always would. And then I hugged him, which was a huge mistake. It just reminded me of what I would be missing out on. It reminded me of all the time I've spent in his arms, wrapped up in his love and comfort, and when I felt tears drippig onto my back, It made my heart shatter into a million more pieces that would be impossble to repair. And when I was about to break down myself, I quickly kissed his cheek and turned away, walking back to my house to pack up and leave Wolverhampton forever.
