I don't want to be yours. I don't want to be anybodies. I want to be me. I want to be Boston. I want to forget about the past and live my life. I want to be noticed but unnoticed by you. Leave me alone, Liam, because this time we really will kill each other. Don't try and find me, because I don't want my memories to haunt me like they happened yesterday. Like Hollywood says, two celebrities never make it out alive. And we are the perfect example.

32. unser geheimnis

"Boston, come on we need to go."

I slowly opened my eyes. This was all too familiar.

"Where are we going?" Please not Vegas.

"Your dad, Simon, they found us a place to stay. A place where no one can find us."

"My dad?" I sat up, using my hands for support.

"Yeah, he called the embassy. They're going to protect us."

"Who's going to protect us--?"

"Pack your clothing…actually no need. We'll start fresh over there." He stopped packing and reached for my hand. "Come with me."

I followed his hand wrapped around mine and up to his brown eyes. The sun was just hardly rising over the horizon.

"Okay," I muttered as I stepped off the bed and followed him through my home. He took me to the back door.

He opened the door slowly and then turned around and placed his index finger in front of his lips as he whispered a, "Shh."

I nodded and soon I was following him around my house.

"Mom," I muttered and he quickly stopped.

"It'll be alright," he reassured.

Again I nodded. I trusted him.

When we reached the front of the house, there was already a black car waiting for us. I never understood why we went out the back door, but all I do remember is the feel of the leather seats as I slid into the backseat.

Then the quick feel of soft cotton as I sat down into the cushioned plane seat. My eyes becoming heavy as my body wanted to drift back into sleep. Maybe this was all a dream. I couldn't really be leaving, could I?

No. It was just my imagination, my wanting to leave and just be with Liam. No one else.

"Babe," I heard Liam say as he woke me for the second time.

Unless the first time was just a dream.

I opened my eyes and looked up to the high ceiling. The wood in the ceiling, the pearl coated fan. I turned my head and saw a balcony. It was opened slightly and creating enough wind to blow the long white curtains.

Then I realized the bed. I opened my arms and noticed I still didn't reached either end of the bed. Liam was on top of me, sitting on my legs.

"What's going on?"

"Welcome home," he smiled.

"This is our new home. No one can find us here. I promise."

I sat up on my elbows and looked more around the room.

"Go look outside," he said not losing his smile. "I made sure we had a good view."

"A good view?" I narrowed my eyes. He got off the bed and I followed him. He allowed me to go first and I went towards the balcony. I noticed I was in different clothing, warmer.

I was a little scared to see what was on the other side but I took hold of the white muslin and slowly, ever so slowly I pulled the cloth apart.

I gasped as I saw what was outside the balcony windows. I pushed the windows open and walked out onto the balcony. The breeze was a little cool but I didn't care as I let it blow small pieces of my hair into different directions.

"Where are we?"

I felt his hand touch my lower back as he stepped beside me. He looked down at me and smiled. "Unser geheimnis."

"I think I'll have to teach you a new language. But for now this, all of this, is our secret. No one is going to find us here."

"Yes, but what is 'here'?"

He brought his hand forward and in his hand held two pieces of paper. Tickets? I reached for one and noticed the name on the ticket. We were gonna go to one of the biggest festivals this summer and I was already in the country that hosted it.

It all made sense. I think I could get used to the Alps, the different language.

I was ready to enjoy in the splendor. I looked up at him. "No one would guess we're in….."
