3. Chapter 2

"Sarah! Sarah!" I was awaken by Mr. Draves shaking me.

'Oh so it wasn't a dream' I thought, my eyes getting glassy.

"We're here Sarah." Mr. Draves said helping me out of the limo.

"Please, call me Sarah Grace." I said admiring the large airport.

Mr. Draves grabbed my bags and picked me up.

"You know, you don't have to carry me. I am 13." I said looking at Mr. Draves.

"I know. You just so small and it is easier to keep up with you if I'm carrying you. We're in a big airport. I don't won't you getting lost." he said smiling.

It was true. I was the height and weight of a 8 year old.

"Okay. We will be going to California in the U.S. so, here is your passport." Mr. Draves handed me my passport.

"No one at all can know exactly who you are so if anyone asks you are Sarah Grace Hardwood. A very hyper 13 year old little girl. You will keep that identity until we get to America." Mr. Draves said walking to a large desk in the airport.

I had never been to an airport and it was very large.

"Mr. Draves is this some kind of spy mission?" I whispered into his ear, joking.

"I guess you can say that. I will explain later. From now on call me dad or daddy." he whispered back very serious.

Well, it was time to put on an act and change my identity.

*ON THE PLANE* (Mr. Draves is now known as Daddy)

"Get comfortable, Sarah Grace. We have about 18 hours ahead of us." Daddy said tightening my seat belt.

"Daddy my throat is dry. Can I get some water?"

"Sure hun." he replied pushing a button to call a flight attendant.

The flight attendent came. She was like a walking, talking Barbie doll!

She had long blonde hair and white beautiful teeth. She had beautiful blue eyes and way too much make-up. She was so beautiful that it was plain ugly.

"Hi! I'm Sharron. I will be your attendant. Can I get you anything?" Sharron asked a fake smile plastered on her face.

"Um, can you get the little lady a cup of water?" Daddy asked pointing to me.

"Sure thing!" Sharron sped off.

"So, Dad, who are my 'guardians'?" I asked.

"You'll have to wait and see..." he said smirking.

"Okay..." I said confused.

"I got a job working for them so we can get you into their lives. And, I forgot to tell you... once you get close enough to them I-i have to f-fake me death..." he said fiddling with his fingers.

"You what?! It's bad enough my mother dies, then my fake father, who is the only one that I have right now." I said whispering the last part.

"I'm sorry it's my job..."

"Whatever. You, twat." I whispered turning the away from him.

I put my ear plugs in and turned on, 'Change Your Life' by Little Mix. I love their music.

I got comfortable and closed my eyes hoping when I woke up, I would be in Math class and this would all be a dream...
