Truly, Madly, Deeply

"I love your laugh, your smile, everything about you. I love how you trust me no matter what, and I love the way you make the best of everything. And Felicity, I love you."

4. Much Better

After we're dismissed from 7th period, I head down to detention. I already called mom and as per usual she didn't answer so I just left her a voicemail.

I open the door and scan the room. I've never been in detention before. I had planned on keeping it that way but I guess not.

"Take a seat," the teacher yelled at me.

SOMEONE'S CRANKY. I settle for the seat in the second to last row. No Harry. No Brittany. Maybe detention wasn't going to be so bad.

As if on queue, Harry barges in through the door looking just as grumpy as he was this morning. Oh well, not my problem. I continue to slouch back in my chair, full of boredom.

"GREAT. I get to be next to you for the next hour. You know my nose can only take so much," he said.

I turn around in my seat and see he's sitting right behind me. It's just icing on top of the cake. I let loud sigh hinting to him that I'm just as annoyed.

"Wow. I think I'm actually scared," he says sarcastically.

   "Just shut up" I said.

He lets out a slight laugh and slouches back in his chair.

He didn't talk to me for the rest of detention. When it was finally over, everyone ran out of the room. You know, except for Harry who pushed his way through, acting like he was a goddess. I walked to the parking lot and waited for my mom to pick me up.

When my ride FINALLY came, I noticed something different. The person in the drivers seat wasn't mom. I peered closer as the car approached. I was right. The person driving wasn't my mom. It was my dad.

My dad's here. Being the idiot that I am, when I hop into the car I hold some sort of hope that he won't ignore me like mom. It's the stupidest thing I have ever done. He didn't speak a word to me. What was I thinking?

As soon as I get home I storm off into my room. None of them deserve me, let alone my presence.

  "FELICITY!" Brooke whines.

"What do you want Brooke?" I yell back at her annoyed.

"Dinners ready so come downstairs." she screeched. What makes them think that I'll come downstairs? Well, in case they couldn't guess I'm not going to.

"Felicity I told you to come!" she whines again.

"Tell them I'm not hungry," I say coldly.

"Why can't you tell them yourself?" she says whining yet again.

"Just tell them, and stop whining already!" I yell back down.

After that there's just silence, meaning she did tell mom and dad and they didn't care. At least I'm all alone.....geez that actually sounds depressing. I guess if you really think about it, it's much better than it sounds. Much better.
