Two best friends have a youtube channel that's not very popular - only about 500 subscribers. When they each turn sixteen their parents give them some money which they use for a two month long holiday in LA, home of YouTube HQ... they meet some popular youtubers there, but when one of them falls in love with a certain youtuber, can she choose between her bestfriend and what she feels to be her true love?

1. My Not So Weird Taste

I woke up from the best dream I'd ever had to the sound of "Part II" by Paramore. In my dream, my best friend Lexi and I had somehow won some competition to go on a trip to YouTube HQ in Los Angeles. I couldn't remember all of the details from my sleepy haze, but I was certain that Joey Graceffa and Shane Dawson were in it.

I sat up under my soft Fall Out Boy duvet and rubbed my eyes. Crap, I realised, I'd forgotten to take off my makeup last night. It'd probably ran all down my face in the night. I sighed in exasperation and swung my legs over the side of my bed.

I sprang into action choosing what I believed to be my cutest outfit to wear to school. I was wearing a black Gilly Hicks wonder bra with a black studded vest top over it, with a little fraying denim waistcoat over, and a pair of fake leather leggings. With this I teamed some white converse.

I sighed at the look of my face. As I'd predicted, my make-up had ran. I exasperatedly grabbed a makeup wipe and began scrubbing, careful not to go over the scar near my jawline.

I then re-applied some black eyeliner, smokey eye shadow,  and mascara, along with some lip gloss. I finally shoved on my big orange glasses (they were actually prescribed.)

I wasn't very hungry so I didn't eat breakfast; then again I rarely did. I'd recently been making a slow recovery from anorexia. Being an ex anorexiac wasn't something I was proud of, and I didn't like talking about the reason I had become one. However I was making a recovery, one step at a time.

I suddenly got butterflies; maybe Shaun would be at school today. Shaun was the boy I'd had a crush on since I was twelve; he had sandy blonde wavy hair and grey eyes that seemed to have experienced more pain than I'd ever know. It's not surprising, seeing  the devastation that his family had suffered. I knew Shaun quite well, and we sat next to each other in Art, which was one of the only subjects I was actually good at.

I walked out of my house without waking my sleeping mother and began walking to school. As I walked I saw some other people in my year; the Crayola's. I called them that because they were so orange that they must use felt tips instead of fake tan. They always called me emo because of my taste in music; it was a load of bullocks though. I was punk-rock. NOT EMO.

I rolled my eyes and almost walked into my bestfriend.
