6. Chapter 6

Harry blindfolded my eyes before guiding me to our destination. He tugged me closer to him to prevent me from falling. I completely have no idea on what he planned to do tonight. Butterflies erupted my stomach as he said we’re nearly there. Moments later, he removed the cloth he used to cover my eyes. I slowly opened my eyes, squinting as I adjust from the lights. I looked around and saw a skating ring. I was startled. The place was simple and is cold. It was so quiet; we’re the only person in the place.

“I..why are we the only people in here?” I asked, confused.

“I paid for this for the night.” He smiled. “For us cause I want this to be special.”

I looked up to him. His green eyes met mine. I shyly smiled at him as I held his hands.

“Harry. I can’t skate.” I almost whispered. I looked down in embarrassment, my hair falling round my face. He lifted my chin to meet his gaze again.

“I will catch you if you fall.” A blush crept onto my cheeks on his statement. “Don’t worry now okay?” He reassured me.

“Okay then.” I smiled.

We wore the skating shoes and the other stuffs we need. Harry got inside the ring first. I watched him as he skate around without even falling. I feel nervous about this. I’m afraid to fall. But Harry’s statement keeps me feel confident, a bit. He skated in my direction, offering me a hand as I slowly get in.

Harry led the way. I rose and fell for the nth time but he kept patient on my clumsy actions. I gripped his strong arms tightly, afraid that I might fall again.

“I’m sorry.” I said looking down.

My eyes closed as he cupped my chin in his large hand; I reopened them when my face was tilted up to his.

“You don’t have to be sorry, Jess.” He smiled. Harry decreased the distance between us. He let me hug him for me not to fall. His large hand on my lower back and the other on my waist. My hands were still holding on his arms as we skate. His gesture made me feel safe as I was not falling anymore.

“Hmm.” His deep voice hummed.

“Why did you take me here?” I mumbled.

He remained silent, his eyes locked with mine. Harry’s face started to look serious.

“Because I want you to learn how not to be afraid when you’re with me.” He paused. “I want you to know that I will catch you when you’re ready to fall. Jess, I know you’re scared. I know there’s a wall wrapped all the way around your heart. And I want to break that down.”

My heart’s beating fast. I felt my tears stream down my face. Harry’s statement touched my heart so much that it hurts so badly. All of the things he said were right.

“I don’t deserve you, Harry.” I said quietly.

His brows furrowed as he shook his head. “No, no. Don’t ever think like that.” He said peering down to me.

“You just have to open your heart and give me a chance.” He muttered.

Words can’t explain my feelings at the moment. I hugged him and cried, he placed his hand in my back tapping it to comfort me.

I didn’t expect Harry to be like this. I never thought he has a deep side. He had observed me in times that we’re together. I don’t know why I’m crying but one thing’s for sure, it’s because I feel something about what he said.

“Do you want me to drive you home now?” Harry asked silently.

“No, I’m fine. I don’t want the night to be ruined just because of me.” I replied, weakly smiling.

“I understand, Jess.”

“No, really, Harry. I’m fine.” I insisted.

“Okay. Let’s get out of here and I’ll buy you ice cream to cheer you up!” he yelled as I chuckled.

He smiled widely and I reciprocated the gesture. He knelt down and tapped his shoulder as I snaked my arms on the back of his neck. He lifted me and he skate through the exit of the ring.

“Thank you, curly. I had a great night!” I said glancing at him.

“Good night!” he said waving.

He was about to enter his car when I called him. He walked towards me quickly, worried.

“You’re my serendipity, Harry. I wasn’t looking for you. I wasn’t expecting you. But I’m very lucky I met you.”

I saw him cheekily smiled. His dimples popped on his cheeks. His curls were so fluffy. He was so beautiful. Harry glared at me before tugging me close to him for a hug as he kissed my forehead.

All I want now is Harry, but I’m not ready yet. I want more moments like this. I want him to be part of my life soon, forever.
