The Avengers: The Newcomer

Meet the newest Avenger, Rosabella. Well, maybe not. Only being apart of the vigilantes team because of her 'accident', Rosabella, more commonly known as Rosie, has now got to not only adapt to the powers given to her through the nuclear explosion, but has to adapt to being known as someone she is not.

2. Becoming What I Wasn't.

It was weird, he had an eerie feeling to his introduction of himself. I automatically felt suspicious; but at the same time I was fascinated. He was very handsome, having an irradic look to his eyes like he was keeping some cool secret.

"What? Do you always stare?" I said offensively as he stood up, not leaning over the bed anymore.

"No. Do you always take offense so easily? It's rude, if you've never noticed." He argued back, offensively. I wanted to have a smarty remark to that, but I decided that was a bad - or dangerous, I couldn't decide - desicion. So I just shut up. The stranger stepped back and smiled coolly. "I'm Tony Stark; maybe you've heard of me?" He said.

"Yeah, like the billionaire who Stark Industries?" He nodded. "So what are you doing here? I mean, what's up that a billionaire who doesn't care for being some kind of donor, unless it includes business help or so, just standing around in a random strangers hospital bed? And how do you know me? You said my name a minute ago." I stuttered cautiously.

He stood quietly for a minute. "Let's see" pause. "Yes, I own Stark Industries. I do know who you are, and, well, we're not in a regular hospital." He explained. I frowned, starting to become a bit more frightened. I slid up higher in my bed. He sighed, obviously realizing he was going to have to be the one explaining what was going on.

I just had a horrible thought, just then.

"I'm alive, even after the accident. So... Could my father be alive too?" I kept forward, out of the bed, shoving my way up. Tony lunged up, trying to keep me down. Somehow, I easily overthrew him, by a light and easy shove. How was I this strong? I ran to the door, which was locked. I angrily pummeled it, knocking it flat on the ground. How...?

Didn't matter to me right then. I was in a state of paranoia and nobody was going to stop me. I had to find my dad, I had to know if he was ok, because in my opinion, I wasn't.

After I started down a long tile hall, two armed men started chasing me. I was utterly terrified now, and I sprinted away. They were fast, but I was more aerodynamic and I was faster. I saw another door. I crashed through it, knowing if I slowed down at all the thugs behind me would catch me. Through the door I landed outside. I looked around in the bright sunlight. I was on a tower. Looking off, over the huge city skyline was a man, in completely black, jut standing.

"Don't worry, Miss Sandreś." He said pausing. "Everything is fine." I looked weakly at him.

"Where's my father? What am I-" I was smacked in the back of the head with something hard. I blacked out.
