It's 2084, on Earth anyways. Harry Styles is in heaven. And has been... for a long time.

1. Prologue

She is beautiful. From her strawberry blonde hair, to her blue painted toes, Harry cannot find a single flaw. She laughs and grabs his hand. He squeezes it as they walk down the path at the zoo. It had been her idea, she loved animals, and she had never been to the London Zoo before, so Harry took it upon himself to introduce it to her.

"Look!" She exclaimed excitedly, pointing to a monkey. She cocked her head. "Kinda looks like Zayn doesn't it?"

They both exploded into fits of laughter at her joke. The year was 2014, and all was well for Harry Styles. He was in a world famous boyband, One Direction with his four best mates, his fanbase was beyond large, and he had the perfect girlfriend. His career was booming. Interviews and concerts took up nearly every moment of his life, but he didn't mind. It was his passion, and he was lucky enough to have made it also his job.

She looked at him again. "What is it?" She stopped and placed her hands on her hips.

Harry stopped too. "What?" He asked innocently.

"What's up?" She asked. "You're acting funny."

Harry shook his head. "I'm not. I'm just thinking." He grabbed her hand and pulled her back into a stride. "I didn't realize that was a crime." He looked at her, smiling, but she still frowned. "What now?"

"You're holding back!" She pushed his arm. "Why can't you tell me?"

Harry stopped and wrapped his arm around her waist. "I've nothing to hide."

She looked into his eyes, debating whether or not he was speaking truthfully, then after a bit of a pause, she dropped her eyes. "Fine. I believe you, but please, tell me if something is wrong." She began to walk again.

Harry smiled at her. He loved when she took control. Whether it was when they were just in an argument or in other.. activities. He hated lying to her, but it wasn't the time yet. He stuffed his hand into his pocket, where he kept the box. He needed to wait.

"Are you hungry?" She asked suddenly, spinning to face him. She had been walking at least a foot ahead. Now she hung back and allowed him to catch up to her.

Harry shrugged. "It doesn't matter."

She grabbed his hand. "I want pizza."

The way she demanded it made her sound almost childish. He liked it, he liked reminders of youth. He could only hope for children one day that would fulfill his need for childlike influences. He could only hope that they would be her children too.

They reached the stand where the zoo was selling food. Sure enough, on the list was pizza. But honestly, who didn't sell pizza these days? She stepped up and ordered, and Harry pulled out his wallet to pay. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone move behind him swiftly. Paparazzi, he thought, and handed his money to the cashier.

Then there was a shot, and Harry fell into her arms just as she bent down to catch him.

"Harry!" She screamed. There was no response. "Oh my god... Oh. My. God." Her breathing became heavy as Harry's shirt became red. She felt dizzy.

A man behind her sprinted to an exit, he held a gun in his hand. She pulled Harry out of the way of onlookers and laid him up against a bench. "Please.." She whispered. "don'" She laid her head on his chest.
