1. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jonas

“Are you ready, Addie?” I asked to the flushed girl beside me.

It was Addie’s wedding day.  I couldn't wait to see my best friend make her vows to the man that she loved; Joe Jonas.  They were inseparable ever since we met them at a concert.

Addie nodded quickly not taking her eyes off the church doors in front of her.  I gently rubbed her sweaty hand as the music started playing, queuing us to walk the aisle.  I peeked through the door and saw Frankie walking down the aisle holding the rings and throwing rose petals.  We didn't really have a flower girl so Frankie volunteered to do both.  How sweet of him!  Next were the Jonas men, besides Joe.  Nick walked next to Kevin and Kevin next to Papa Jonas, down the aisle, to the right of the alter.  It was my turn to walk with Danielle.  I was Addie’s Maid of Honor and Dani was her bride’s maid.  I walked through the door after giving Addie’s hand to her father.  I grabbed Dani’s arm and we walked down the aisle.  I smiled at Nick and he winked at me.  I mouthed, “I love you too,” to him and he smiled wider.  We walked to the left of the alter and turned around to see Joe walking down the aisle with his mom in his arm.  She was already crying.  I smiled as she came next to us and I held her hand.  Joe was a little teary-eyed as well.  Goodness! The water works are about to fall when Addie comes down the aisle.  Suddenly the music started playing “Here Comes the Bride” and the doors opened slowly by Big Rob and another security guard.  They were so cute in their tuxes.  There was Addie.  All eyes were on her the whole 2 minutes she walked down the aisle in her dad’s arm.  He gave her away with a tear rolling down his cheek as she kissed it.  She took Joe’s out stretched hand and walked up to the alter in front of the preacher and turned to face each other.

“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate Mrs. Addison and Mr. Joseph on their day of rejoining each other as one.  You may now present the rings to each other and say your vows,” the preacher began.

Joe cleared his throat after Addie nodded for him to go first.

“Addie,” Joe started, taking her hand. “The first time I met you, I pulled you up on stage with me so I could sing to you. You were 16 and I knew right away that I had to have you or I’d die. When you kissed me up on stage, I knew that that was the kind of girl I wanted to have. You are confident and crazy and the most beautiful girl that I have ever met. I promise you that I will take care of you when you are sick. I promise to love you through everything we go through. I promise to be your husband until I die and in our life after,” Joe said through his tears.

I couldn't see Addie’s face but I could tell she was smiling and crying also.

“Joe,” Addie began, taking Joe’s other hand into hers.  “When I woke up the morning of the day I met you, I knew that something amazing was going to happen. When you pulled me up on stage I thought it was a dream come true. You are so caring and funny and I know that I want to be with you for the rest of my life. I promise you that I will love you with all my heart. You and no other. I promise I will take care of you when you are sick or injured.  And most of all, I promise to be your wife for the rest of my life on this earth and in our life in heaven,” Addie said.

They slid on their rings and we all smiled.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife.  Joseph?” the preacher said turning to Joe, “You may now kiss your bride.”

“Gladly,” he said before giving Addie the biggest kiss ever.

We all cheered and laughed as Joe picked her up bridal style and ran down the aisle.  We all took out our rice bags and threw them at Joe and Addie.  Not the bag, but the rice in the bag. You know what I mean.  I looked over at Nick and smiled.   He grabbed my hand as we walked towards the car to drive to the reception.  We were the of a few who got there first and we sat at a table that marked our names and waited for everyone to pile in, including the bride and groom.

“So, what’s next, honey?” I asked Nick leaning my chin in my hand.

He smirked a little as I fluttered my eyelashes and smiled.

“Well, we have to start planning OUR wedding while they are on their honeymoon,” he replied holding my hand and kissing it.

“Oooh their honeymoon should be interesting,” I giggled.

Nick raised his eyebrow. “Do you know where they are going?”

I nodded excitedly.  “Yup!” I yelled but then leaned in closer to him. “Italy! But she doesn't know! So don’t tell her I told you!” I whispered.

He smiled and looked around checking to make sure no one was around.  He is such a dork.

I laughed as he pulled me closer to him.

“I promise I won’t say anything,” Nick winked at me.

“You better not!” I yelled back.

Addie and Joe were at our table now.

“Better not what?” Addie asked.

I looked at Joe and giggled.

“Nothing!” we said at the same time.

She laughed and sat down with Joe.  Music was already playing and Nick was begging me to dance with him.  I sighed and took his hand as he walked me to the dance floor.  He held my right hand and grabbed my waist with his right hand and pulled me close.

“You dance like a grandpa,” I giggled at him.

“Oh really?” he said lifting an eyebrow.  He’s so hot when he does that.  Just saying.

He twirled me around and spun me to him, grabbing my other hand.  I looked into his eyes and pecked his cheek.  He smiled and twirled me back out and pulled me close.

“Gosh, I love you,” he said before he kissed me for a few seconds.

I smiled after the kiss and rested my head on his shoulder.

“I love you too, sweetie,” I said into his neck.

He kissed my hair and we kept swaying back and forth and side to side.  The music stopped and Papa J walked up to a microphone on the stage.

“Welcome everyone to Joe and Addie Jonas’s wedding reception! We are so glad all of you could make it tonight.  We give a special thanks to the chefs that have prepared the food for us and the musicians that are playing as well,” he said.

We applauded and Papa J shushed us after a few seconds.

“We will now have Leah and Nick come up and say something to the lovely couple,” Mr. Jonas said looking in our direction.

I smiled and grabbed Nick’s offered hand.  We walked up to the stage as people in the crowd clapped.  I tapped the microphone and some laughed.

“Hello everyone! I’m Leah, Addie’s bestest friend in the whole wide world, and I would just like to say that, Addie?  I've known you since forever and I love you to death.  I know that Joe has made you realize that love is the most important and cherished thing that has ever existed.  Joseph has shown you how to love and how to count your blessings.  And Joe?” I said almost in tears but smiling at them. “I am so grateful for you and your family.  You have shown me that life is about second chances and having trust.  I trust you with my best friend and I pray for you two each day to show the same amount of love, compassion, and mercy as God has shown us.  I love you two with all my heart and I wish you the best years together, until the end.”

Joe, Addie, the Jonas family, and my lovely Nick behind me, were almost in tears as I spoke.  I turned around and gave Nick the biggest hug.

“I love you, honey,” he whispered into my hair.

“I love you too,” I smiled and gave him a quick kiss.

Nick let go and walked up to the microphone.

“Wow.  I can’t compete with that, guys,” he said laughing with the crowd. “I am so grateful to have you, Joe, as an older brother.  Throughout the years you have shown me what it is like to have fun and to be myself.  I grew up a little bit faster than you and Kevin but I enjoyed watching you grow also.  Addie? I love you, darling, as the little sister you are to me.  You’ll always be my little sis and I can’t wait for you two to start your own family and progress and watch them grow.  You two are perfect for each other and Leah and I wrote a song for you love birds,” Nick said walking around the stage with the microphone, then walking to the piano.

I walked over to him and he handed me the microphone to put on the stand.  I grabbed the stand and walked it over next to the piano.

“This song is called ‘I Say Forever,’” I said into the mic, smiling at Addie and Joe.

I smiled at Nick before he started playing the keys.  As I sang, I saw Addie and Joe get up and slow dance. (If you want to read the original song lyrics, it's in my previous book "I Say Forever". Check it out.)  Later on, everyone else joined them on the dance floor.  We finished the song and everyone clapped.  After Nick and I held hands and bowed, we walked back over to our table.

“You guys?! That was beautiful!” Addie yelled running to give us a hug.

Joe walked over and gave Nick a bro-hug and then wrapped his big bear arms around me lifting me up.

“Thank you, Leah.  That was gorgeous and absolutely perfect,” Joe said into my ear while still holding me up.

I laughed as he set me back down.  We started eating and chatting some more.  What a great night!
