Take Care

**Sequel to What Humans Do**
It's been seven years since the day I told Harry Styles we had to break up because our publicity stunt was now over. He told me to wait till I was 26, then we could get back together and be happy. So, I waited. I waited until I got a phone call the day after my 26th birthday from Harry, inviting me to a wedding. HIS wedding, to be exact. I knew I had to get Harry back. I'm not going to let seven years of waiting be wasted. I needed him back. And so the plotting began.

Song of the Chapter: Beginners by The Slow Club

Seven years. That's how long it's been since Harry and I left each other. We still occasionally talked, but not much. We were trying to move on, not stay attatched to each other. Our friends were still intertwined, seeing as half of them were dating each other.

Madelyn was with Niall, Lauryn was with Louis. Darcy met someone from the mens gymnastics team from America back in the 2012 Olympics. They started talking, which lead to dating, which lead to marriage. I was the maid of honor at their December wedding. Harry was there, but he brought a date so I didn't speak to him, sparring myself of the awkward introductions.

Darcy was now expecting her first child with her husband, Andrew. I've already been asked to be the god-mother. I told them I would, as long as I can help pick out the name, which they laughed and agreed to.

Kaylyn was also married. She met someone who played on Manchester United football team when she won a contest to sing the national anthem for them at a huge rival game. The moment the game was over, he ran over to her and kissed her. The rest is history. His name was Tom Cleverley. Madelyn was the maid of honor to her wedding.

Niall and Madelyn were practically made for each other. They started dating about a year after Harry and I broke up. Niall was planning on asking her to marry him really soon. He had the cutest plan, also. They were going on vacation to the Disney in France and he plans on asking her there, right infront of the castle.

Lauryn and Louis were so similar, it was uncanny. I knew that if they didn't get married then I'd have no hope of finding love in the world. Even though I already knew where and who my love was. They lost contact when Harry and I broke up because Louis was Harry's best friend. It's understandable. But when Niall and Madelyn started talking again, they reunited and started out as friends, but soon turned into love. They've been dating for about two years now. I wasn't that close with Louis so I don't know if he planned on marrying her or not.

One Direction was still together and still immensly popular. When Harry and I broke up, it was front page for about four weeks. 'Britain's Best Couple Breaks Up' or something like that. A few weeks later, the headlines were 'Harry trying to get over Rue?' with pictures of him with multiple models or singers at different clubs. That lasted for about two years, and that really hurt. I didn't know whether to cry or to do the same.

During the 2012 Olympics, Harry came to my final competition. I won a gold medal and a silver one. The team as a whole won the gold, beating Romania, Russia, and China. When it was time for the ceremony, Harry somehow managed to get down to the floor and the moment I stepped off the 1st place stand, he attacked me in hugs and kisses. Which only led to more rumors. Mainly because it was lip-to-lip kisses, not little ones. When he kissed me, I kissed back and I didn't want to let him go. That was the first that I had been genuenly happy since we broke it off. He kept whispering in my ear, "just wait till we're 26, just wait till we're 26," over and over again.

So, I waited. He didn't. He was with someone named Lacie. They'd been together for about 6 months. But who's counting?

As for me, I was still on the gymnastics team, for my last time. I was the only one who stayed, all the other gymnasts had left because they were starting families or thought they had had a good run and didn't want to push it. My back injury didn't ever bother me, luckily. All the girls on the team are about 17. When I first met them, they all knew me as 'Rue Rotar, Harry Styles ex' which really annoyed me. I wasn't an Olypmic gold medalist, silver medalist, and over came an injury that could've ended my career. I was Harry Styles ex. That'll put me down in the history books.

I sighed heavily, reflecting on my life within the past seven years. I turned twenty six yesterday. I still remember Harry and I's deal. I wonder if he did, too?

It was almost as if I had a mind-reading moment with Harry because my phone lit up with Harry's name flashing on it. I quickly, rather desperatly, answered it. "Hello?"

"Rue! Hey! This is Harry! We haven't talked in about a month!"

I gave a cheesy chukle and said "Oh yeah, sorry I've just been so busy!"

'Yeah, busy sitting around with your cats and watching movies with your misrable life' I thought to myself.

"Oh, it's fine! I just wanted to tell you something. Guess what!"

"I don't know what to guess so just tell it to me?" I said because I knew he'd want me to actually guess.

"You know Lacie? That girl I've been dating for about 6 or 7 months? Well, we decided that we're going to get married. We want you to be there! It's really soon, we'll fly you over in two days. The wedding is this weekend."

I'm so glad that I'm not a fainter because if I was, I would've passed out.
