Secrets, Lies and a Love in Disguise

Persephone has a normal, quite boring life. She goes to a good school, has some great friends and all the usual problems. But when she ends up in a hotel in a foreign country with One Direction, who she is secretly in love with, her life springs from boring to wild. At first Persephone loves her new life, but as things get more complicated her feelings begin to change...

1. The Late Night Journey

'Are we nearly there?' I asked my Dad, his tired eyes remained on the road as he answered.

'Nearly, about half an hour left.' I sighed and turned my head, so my forehead was resting on the car window. I suppose I should introduce myself, since it's going to be a while before we arrive in London. My names Persephone, but I prefer Seph. I'm 15, nearly 16, I'm live in Manchester and I go to a nearby school. It's an all-girls school, unfortunatley, don't get me wrong it's a very good school, just very boring. Very, very boring. I've never had a boyfriend, solely because I don't have many male friends. Another reason why my life is boring.

A sudden shout from the back seat made me jump. 'Ooh I love this song, turn it up!' My sister began to sing along to the song that had just began to play on the radio. I forced myself to roll my eyes even though deep inside I was smiling. One Direction's song 'What Makes You Beautiful' continued to blare out into the car. My sister, just like loads of girls around the world, was obsessed with One Direction. I told everyone that I hated them, I don't know why, I guess I just never got round to saying I loved them. I've been a directioner from the very beginning, ever since they were first formed that day on the X-Factor, I've just never told anyone. And now my sister loves them, I doubt I ever will. I'm not known as the sort of person who spends their days loving a boy band. It's quite sad, but I'm perfectly happy loving them in secret.

'We're here, I'll get the cases out of the car. Seph take your mum inside and get checked in.' Dad finally said. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, we've just arrived at the Gatwick hotel in London and we're hear because tomorrow morning  me, my parents and my little sister will be boarding a plane to fly to Canada for our first family holiday in ages. I'm stupidly excited, but currently exhausted. The sooner I get into bed, the better.

Finally, our suit cases were piled on the floor of our family hotel room, my parents where in the double bed next to me, me and my sister laid in identical single beds and an alarm was set for 3 am. As I closed my eyes and began to drift into peaceful sleep, I knew i was going to remember this holiday for a long time.
