My Life, My End

3. Divorce

Later on, I was downstairs with the other ladies. The subject changed
from knitting patterns to love and relationships. They asked me about
my private life, my love.

Then it all came flooding back to me. I got married, married to Mr.
Potts. He was a solicitor, until he got fired. That was when I divorced him.

He told me in the night that he had got fired. When we were in bed. It
was then I divorced him, and I don’t regret it in any way. He was a
selfish old fool. He never loved me.
