The Feeling of Lost

Nothing of what I've written is real (Thank God)
This story suddenly appeared in my head, when I - for only a second - let my mind wander. This story is about loss, about consequenses and about possibilities - this story is about guilt and "if"s and other things people tell themselves when something like this happens. I hope you'll write a comment or something of the like, and I hope that this wouldn't be real for anyone, even though it sometimes is.

9. The Silence

It was the sudden silence after an explosion.

The silence before a storm.

It was the chilling silence between arguing parents.

It was the silence that meant no nonsense.

It was the silence that meant The End.

It was the silence of a scream.

It was the silence of shock.

The Silence when someone was trying too hard to listen.

The Silence when you could hear a tiny ant make its way home.

The Silence that meant that your heart wasn't thumping.

The Silence that meant that everything was over.

It was the silence that nobody could hear.

It was the silence that only a few people have had the terrifying honour to encounter.

The Silence that could make a person fall on his knees in prayer.

The Silence that made the dark seem harmless.

The Silence that could make the sunshine disappear.

It was the Silence that meant that something bigger was soon to follow.
