First Day In Forever

Amy has always dreamt of being prom queen, but not being part of the popular group hasn’t helped her. Neither has not being able to get a date, when she really wants Lucas, her crush, to ask her. When her best friends suggests a blind date, Amy decides to take the plunge, but will it all work out?

Leave me a comment saying if you’re Team Logan, Chace or Lucas :D Thanks xoxo

I would love if you could leave me some comments as to what to include next in the book, because I’d love to hear your ideas for the plot! Thanks :D

UPDATE Hey, everyone – it’s been a while! Anywho, an updated draft of FDIF has been sitting on my computer for a while, so I thought I may as well upload it as I continue to make improvements. This way, I can take your comments into account and hopefully each edit will be better than the last! Thank you all for your support, means a lot to me :D

1. Wish

"You have got to be kidding me!" I said to my best friend, Kaylie, as we leaned across the sinks in the girls bathroom.
"It's just water, it'll dry." she replied, laughing as she looked at my bedraggled self in the bathroom mirror. I glared at her, wishing she didn't look so much like a supermodel when compared to me.
"Yeah, but this was not what I needed right when I'm about to perform my English presentation in front of Lucas! I'll look like an idiot!"
"Amy, you look fine. Anyway, I'm sure after seeing you like this, Lucas will definitely want to take you to prom"
I glared at her again. It's only what I'd been dreaming about for forever...
"Just because you have a perfect date doesn't mean I'm going to get one. Especially not Lucas. I'll be lucky if Tristan asks me" I said in exasperation.
Tristan was the class nerd who always had his hand up in class. He seemed nice enough, but frankly, it didn't seem as though you could have a conversation with him about anything other than Star Wars, or particle physics. Kaylie, on the other hand, was going to prom with her frankly gorgeous jock boyfriend, Damon, and they were a shoe in for the prom king and queen. I'd secretly always wanted to be prom queen, but that was highly unlikely seeing as a) I didn't have a date to prom, let alone a boyfriend, and b) half of the people in my year didn't even know my name.
"I can't show up to prom, you know." I said as I turned to her from drying my shirt in front of the mirror.
"Why not?" she asked.
"Because, I don't have a date, and you do. I don't want to be a third wheel..."
"Amy, you won't be. We'll have loads of fun!" she replied, smiling at me.
"Oh sure, so you're just gonna let me squeeze between you and Damon while you're slow dancing" I said sarcastically.
"C'mon, Amy, it'll be fun. We can go prom dress shopping! No Damon there, okay?" she said as we walked to class.
"Fine, but when I'm all on my own at prom dancing by myself, I'm going to come and burst your love bubble. Hope you're happy"
"Ecstatic," laughed Kaylie, "Lets go, we don't want to be late for your great presentation.”
